Re: No sound with Asus Xonar DX through DirectSound or WASAP
Portable install is the way to go, as it can eliminate a lot of software/hardware "conflict" issues.
I would only do a clean install if you are having problems with other programs and hardware not believed to be related to MM.

Re: RegExp Find & Replace 4.3 w/ 253 presets (2011-07-06) [M
That's what I figured. Thanks. Is there some sort of preset search function? If not, would that be too difficult to implement? I have the list of presets in text format and I've sectioned them out (with spacing) by function types, like add/remove/assign digits, add/remove/assign string to begin/end;...

How does the "shortcut" field work? Is this to set a hot key?

Well, of course not (they/MM would not have been that generous, and rightly so)Lowlander wrote:Note that you only get a 4.x not a Lifetime License.

Re: Gold 3.x upgrades to 4.x Issue
Ah....ok, that explains it (I assume you mean within a year previous to 4). I was certainly well out of that range and upgraded to a lifetime around 4.0.x? anyway.

I'm not sure why that happened, but have you checked in your "recycle bin" for the albums?

Re: Ideal Multi-Computer Setup
The only thing I really wish MMW would do is give me the option to label tracks "01/15" (if there were 15 tracks total) You can do this with RegExp Find & Replace http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28510 .....but not easy to use. I'm not sure about all the other ...

Re: Autotag
Check out RegExp Find & Replace http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28510 It's one of the most useful scripts in the realm of the Monkey, but it takes a bit to get the hang of it (much of the interface is not intuitive and the presets are somewhat clumsily organized only bec...

Re: Mass migration of Podcasts from iTunes to MM
Nor have I. Not much of a podcast person and have never been an apple person, aside from the ultra rare need to use Quicktime. Sorry
But I have spent my fair share of doing hours worth of fixing and migrating type stuff on the computer so I feel your pain if you have to do it manually.

Re: Clean ID3v1 and V2 tags not working - bug?
Yes, I see it too! :D I guess one purpose would be, if something happened to your files (or a file) and you had to rerip/replace them you could easily get back all/any previous unique/custom info by syncronizing tags.....? .....or just before you migrate files over to a new drive or system to make s...

Re: Two questions
I found the skin on the wiki http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/MediaMonkey_2_Converted_Skins but as Lowlands says it doesn't work with 4. :( Yeah, I remember the database changing, but I couldn't remember if it was drastic enough to make it impossible. Thankfully I had all the music files ba...

Re: Having properties updates tags
Lets look at one thing at a time. Just for testing purposes - select a file, notice current info then edit/ok it, notice new info, select it again and right click > remove from library only, then close MM, reopen > find only the folder that file is in and rescan it to the library. Do this and tell m...
