Imported playlist removal

Somewhere down the line, I was able to prevent the 'Imported Playlist' folder from created and scanned in. It came back and I can go a few days without seeing it so I'm assuming I create it somehow. It doesn't create with any general folder rescans/update WHERE am I missing the option to stop that l...

Re: newbie help with creating folder structure

I can match your numbers with the unorganized files. Mine go back to the old alt.binaries newsgroups of the late 90s and the potpourri of tag "styles" was incredible. One archive name would be the band and the contents were track1, track2 with zero metadata... All sorts of problems with me...

Thanks for the suggestion. No effect though.

'Next track' headphone control? [Solved]

I have Venture Air-Fi headphones (bluetooth) that can "natively" control [+-track] functions thru Windows7 Media Player but not my beloved MediaMonkey.

What did I miss or is there a method to be had?

Thanks for the confirm on that, Lowlander. Made sense but just wanted to make sure.

Re: playlist folders

I discovered that myself quite accidentally a while back. Very handy little "feature" when you run a ton of playlists with obscure names. Also, worthy of note, when you run the "Export all playlists" script, the parent (empty) playlist name will become part of the child playlist ...

Re: What does volume leveling really do?

Sorry to jump into the thread...

Is the leveling feature merely a playback mask in the database; leaving the file itself "intact"?

Re: Show name of currently playing playlist?

The 'Current Playlist position' is already on the player's skin. That said, MM appears to be aware of the playlist that was launched as evidenced by the list in the 'Now Playing' window and PL data (playlist position) shown on the player skin. It would seem that filling a variable with the playlist ...

Re: Import Playlist that MM created

I run the same style database. Don't mind me if I missed the point - I'm still exploring the options of MM but couldn't recreating the playlist on the thumb drive be done the way you need with "Tools>Options>Portable Device Sync>[the device]>Options>File Locations ? To remove the track number a...

Re: Show name of currently playing playlist?

I had tried that but was hoping for something more automatic. Also, more centric to the track playing data. Seeing the ability to read & display the track number and position in the "Now Playing" list ("PL: 2 of 20" for example) on the player, I thought it could be done. Any ...

Show name of currently playing playlist?

Is there a way to easily show the currently playing playlist name in either the MM player or the 'Now Playing' window? On the MM player after the "Track: info PL: n of nn" area or in the "List Edit Copy" toolbar would be ideal. There are too many times, while playing a playlist, ...

Re: Playlists empty! Call for petition: YES, THIS IS A _BUG_

That looks rather interesting and does reduce the need for me to be smarter than a small bag of rocks...

I'll give that a look in the next week or so. Still a bunch more to clean so that will be a good opportunity to road test that script for my needs. Sounds like it could help.

Thanks for the link!

Not really a bug...

Not really a bug, per se, but an interesting result.

I came across a compilation type album that has the 'Year' tag written as 1967-68. MM displays the 'Year' as 2035 (1967 + 68 = 2035)

Re: Playlists empty! Call for petition: YES, THIS IS A _BUG_

That sounds like a nice approach but, in retrospect, I don't think it would fit the bill for me. My problem is with a complete renaming of the file name and all associated tags that bear no resemblance to anything related to the tune. Much like the 'search&find' function, I think my editing &...

Re: Playlists empty! Call for petition: YES, THIS IS A _BUG_

Being that 'Remove Unavailable Items' has never been selected, I guess I am guilty of manually removing them during/after the rescan. I've used to Relocate function once before - older, non-Gold version - and while it did find some it also was confused on some as well. That Wiki-link provided a lot ...
