Some help

N0 4. Is not possible in that way, but from any tracklisting view you can right click and use the send to function to send it to playlists.

test

A simple test you can run is to see if other programs have trouble with the discs. If so, it most likely is your drive. Otherwise MM might have trouble with the discs.

Thanks

Well if another source for song info is in the plans this becomes a minor problem. It's just that I do use the year a lot in MM and update when information is available. But I'm often dealing with artist I'm fairly unfamiliar with and as such it is hard to know what year's in Amazon are correct and ...

Geiss troubles here too.

Nice news about the vis support in 2.2!!! I experience crashes too with Geiss. I can't close the plugin after starting it or it and MM will crash. I can't come out of fullscreen or it and MM will crash. I can't get it to get song info from MM, it just displays MediaMonkey as song title. We'll be loo...

Some more info

I think there is one problem with Peke's solution as it uses song tags to create folder and file name. Oliver requests to have the info extracted from the filename. This still would be possible but an additional step would be necessary: - Auto-tag from filename. This would update the tags in the son...

Yeah, vis work

Visualizations work in MM, allthough I have encountered several that wouldn't work and some that crash MM. At this vis support is in a primitive phase. The makers of MM advised me to use the geiss vis plugin and this seemed to work okay for me. Just take a minute to figure it all out (and there are ...

Amazon date problem

I'd like to know if there's any progress in the Amazon date problem (no albums before 1990 or few).

I use the album browser a lot, but if I have to believe Amazon elvis isn't dead, but just started.

Got it!!!

I made a mistake in the songpaths. The drive letter is not supposed to be there. I deleted it and all songs play and all folders show up in the location node. The awkward thing is that songs did play when the song path included the drive letter??? The only small problem I have is that the network lo...

Well it seems scanning the folders doesn't work as I now have the files double in the DB.

So please advice me on the appropiate way if one exists.

BTW I still have an old copy of the DB without manual editing by me.

Okay, I have gotten somewhere now. I added a subfolder with few files to the DB and used the IDMedia field from this new location to update the IDMedia field in the songs table for all songs. The songs work now. The only problem that I have left is that the location only shows the previously scanned...

Change file location manually in DB

I just moved my whole music collection from a network drive to the local drive. Now I would like to manually edit the DB to show the songs in the new location. I don't want to use the retreive moved tracks function as in the past too many files weren't picked up. I have edited the songs table to upd...

I'm not sure I get all you wrote, but here is some thoughts: 1. Playlist name You can name playlists on creation and rename them afterwards (right click on playlist and choose rename). 2. Playlist scroll Where would you want it to scroll and why is that important? 3. Property tag This has been reque...

An idea

Well MM isn't really build for that, but you could add info to the album's on where the CD is stored.

Just right click on an album in the album node and choose properties. I'm not sure how MM displays this info in the interface

Just drag & drop

To move the player down just drag & drop, you'll see just the border outlined while moving. At some point this sticks and that's when you let go. It might take a couple of tries and it might help to not have MM in maximized form. Hope this helps. As for the tray icon I seem to have problems with bri...

Search remembering searches

I think it would be nice if MM would remember past searches. This could be done in two places: Search node could have past 5, 10, x, user defined subnodes representing past searches. Clicking on this would redo the search (storing search results could be an option too, but probably harder). Remember...
