Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Scottie, Did you update MMA and MMW? Or just MMA? What version of MMW are you using? Thanks. -Rusty EDIT: I tried to simulate the bug using build 221, and can't, so I suspect that what you're experiencing may not be the same bug. Hi. I did update both, but I haven't even used MMW in a few days, No ...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

:( Well I'm back. Everything was great until I installed the update from the play store today. Not sure if I rebooted or not (don't think so) but my playlists are empty again. I did a resync and it took a while, but still empty playlists. Guess I will wipe the profile and device and start again but ...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Update them both to latest - the latest version is always in the LAST post in these thread (there's a link to click in the first post to resort): MMW: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54426 MMA: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=68820 Since MMA build 2...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

I haven't updated to the latest MMA yet but things seem to working well! There's still a several hour delay before a play count will actually update but I can live with that. Just grabbed the Pro version as well - nice work guys. Thanks!

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Ok odd - is there some sort of delay before a play count will register/sync? Earlier today I synced and the tracks I played just before bed didn't update their play counts. Today I used MMA a bunch in the city, came home, and synced. Now the tracks I played last night have updated play counts, and t...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

So today the songs I played last night are not upping play count when I sync. When I have some time (hopefully tonight) I will try to start fresh again, knowing now that I should run MMA once before I sync. Also gonna keep my phone inside my shirt so hopefully it stays warm enough while I'm walking ...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Ok so things are mostly working. The play count thing seems to be hit or miss. I used my phone for music a bit today. Despite the fact that it crashed several times due to the ridiculous cold (all playlists intact on every reboot!), when I came home and synced, it got the songs I played throughout t...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Ah, thanks Rusty - I knew I'd seen that before, and I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened.

Just to clarify - I SHOULD run MMA once before I sync, and that will AVOID the problem, correct?

If so, do I need to set up MMA, or just run it?

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Thanks for the reply. I will send logs after next sync. I actually did delete all MediaMonkey folders - every time things aren't working right I delete those folders as well as uninstall the app and remove the Music folder and start all over. Last night the battery drain thing didn't happen (I did a...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Good to hear about the new HTC phone having an SD slot. I'd read somewhere that most phone makers were moving away from that for one reason or another - even Samsung was considering it. I hope it was BS. :D

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Yeah same here. I could get by with 32GB probably, but this phone is only 16GB, and now that I am used to having a 64GB card it would be tough to go back (I carry similar stuff, plus some game roms). Used to have an ipod 'classic', so I'm used to having ridiculous amounts of storage. :D

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Ah cool, thanks for the reply. How is that new phone by the way?

I love the stylus on my Note so don't want to give it up, but I have this urge to try out other phones lately...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Another update - last night I tried one more install (MMA) and sync. Same result, files sync'd fine, no play counts syncing. But then I went to bed and woke up and my full charged note 2 battery (which always lasts overnight and then all day) was down to 5%, with 85% usage from MediaMonkey. It had s...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Well I tested the new versions of MMA and MMW a bit the last two days and have had mixed results. Before I updated anything, everything actually had been working well for a while. Play counts and ratings were syncing, sync was not copying files that were already on the device, and playlists were sta...
