The issue is already resolved, so make sure you're using the latest build. The issue was resolved for the iPpod Nano 6G, as long as you are running firmware version 1.1 or lower. Apple released firmware version 1.2 on October 4, 2011 and this breaks MM functionality for the 6G nano's if you upgrade...

The issue described in bug 8466 still occurs for me in build 1441.

All M4A files synch, but some will not play on my nano 6g. Stay stuck at 0's.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem I discovered today or not. Updated my Nano 6G to firmware version 1.2 (had to try it out of course, without first thinking this might affect the monkey...) Started MM and performed a synch. All songs transferred over no problem Using MM safely removed device....
