Re: CD Ripping has become horribly painful
MediaMonkey 4 should bring improvements in the area. BTW aren't you able to set MM shortcut to run as Admin and/or set security permitions for everyone to Full control and/or Install MM into Non-Security related folder like d:\MediaMonkey? Good point ... did that admin shortcut thing during my last...

CD Ripping has become horribly painful
CD ripping used to be a boring and brainless operation. Now it is just plain painful. I have been ripping for years and years. How has it become so painful? The first pain is to remember that I have to log out of my user account and onto my adminstrator account and then start MM3 as a admin program....

Re: Why Songbird will succeed where MM fails
I have been using MM for a long time now. I am hard pressed to think of anyway to improve it. The only things I can think of are: 1) Windows 7 is going to be very popular in NA at least. MM3 has some small issues with Win7 that need to be worked out, especially with burning CDs. 2) Tabs may be nice ...

Re: MM 64bits?
Don't get hung up on 64 bit architecture ..... for most current programs, 32 vs 64 bit makes no difference. There are those where there is a large increase in performance with 64bit but MediaMonkey isn't likely to to be one of them even with very large library sizes.

Re: Suggestion for a UNHOLY alliance
XP is still very popular and will probably stay like that for a while. I myself haven't gone with 7 yet either and don't see it happening in the foreseeable future. I understand where you are coming from ...... I only upgraded because I do IT work and had to support it for my "clients". A...

Re: Suggestion for a UNHOLY alliance
The following is an excellent tool to get playlists exported from MediaMonkey, can even be automated, to get them into other applications (as long as they scan for new playlists): http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34512&hilit=export+playlist+child I personally prefer MediaMon...

Suggestion for a UNHOLY alliance
Media Monkey 3.x or 4.x and Windows 7 Media Center. Don't laugh .... ;) Even when the evidence mounted that Redmond finally released an OS better than XP, it took me a long time to upgrade to Windows 7 After I upgraded I immediately removed all the shortcuts to WMC7 because I was sure I would never ...

Re: SPIDF Passthrough bug windows 7
I registered years ago but I could never post once I logged in ...... it would tell me the username was already in use. They have fixed whatever problem there was since the last time I tried. Thanks for reminding me about logging in. I failed the Monkey Test 20x to post this Register and you don't h...

Re: Aceess violation when in Now Playing mode
I have MM v 3.02.1134 Whenever MM starts up in or is switched to the Now Playing mode I get the following pop up error. Access violation at address 008620A9 in module 'MediaMonkey.exe'. Read of address 00000000. Having Microsoft Destop Search installed and cataloging your music directory will occas...
