A new problem

I've just noticed that the autoplay script isn't assigning song ratings above 3 stars. I've removed my customised version, and I'm using the standard version and this is still true. I've played a song over ten times now (with other songs between them), and the rating won't go above 3. I'm using the ...

Another thing I've noticed is that if you pause a song, go away for a while, and come back, MM counts the time paused as part of the song. For example, if you play a song, pause it after 3 seconds, and come back a few minutes later, you'll find the Played number has gone up. I don't know if this has...

Re: Question about Skipping

Added: If you happen to skip a 5 Star song, you must like it a hell of a lot anyway, so this up and down stuff may not be so bad in that period you set Yes, that's my current thinking. First I believed MM considered a song to be played when it was played, but after discovering this 30% thing from P...

Question about Skipping

Here's a question to be sure I understand how the rating works. Let's say I have it set so that if a song is played 7+ times in the period, it gets rated 5 stars. This song has currently been played 7 times. The next time I hear it, I skip it, so its rating drops to 4.5. Then I skip it again, and it...

mememe what you are seeing is the fact that any number under the set number is going to be givin the rating according to the amount between the set amunts you have posted in your message. Yeah, I understand how it works, but that's only because I read through the code. I initially didn't grasp it, ...

Steegy, that FAQ entry says that some plugins will have to be installed to the winamp directory.
Does this mean I'll have to install a copy of WinAmp - I don't have it installed at the moment.

Use Winamp plugins without installing Winamp?

Is there a way to trick my system into thinking I have Winamp installed in my Media Monkey directory, so that any winamp plugins go to the right place straight away?

Steegy has raised something that concerned me too - but I forgot about it tonight. This could be linked to the Mood selector: Could have Normal as we discussed, and also Disabled to disable both mood and rating changes. A related question: the safe zone within which you can skip is normally 10 secon...

While tweaking the number of plays I noticed something. Let's say you assign plays as follows: 3 stars: 1 3.5 stars: 3 4 stars: 5 4.5 stars: 7 On this scheme, if a song plays twice, it gets a rating of 3.5 stars. If it plays 3 times, it stays at 3.5 stars. If it then plays a fourth time, it increase...

That sounds good. Looking at your original tenplate: Current Mood = High Mark song High if played and upgraded Protect Normal & Low Mood songs Ratings if skipped Do not protect if current song already is marked High I wonder if Mark song High if played and upgraded [/b] should be Mark song High if p...

Interesting idea. I hope you're planning to set it up as something you can easily switch on and off - I suppose whatever method you have for choosing current mood would handle that if there's a "None" option. I would want MM to automatically set current mood to None or Blank on startup, so that the ...

Phew, looks like you're right.
I tried the F5 to refresh, and it didn't update the rating. But when I started the next song it did. (I didn't notice the update earlier because I'd started a different playlist.)
