Turning FILE MONITOR off solves the problem.

But ... I want to use file monitoring. It's one of the best things MM does, as far as I'm concerned. So ... now that we've identified what is causing the bug, any ideas on how to fix it? Is it likely the new RC-2 will address it?

About 70 files are copied to my iPod every time I synch, altho nothing has changed in those files. Yes, I know that. And, I repeat:

* Even though player shuffle is turned ON, no shuffling happens while playing.

It's clearly not a huge issue in the functionality of the product. But it is an odd bug.

The list is already set to randomize.

In MM2, the player would "jump around," in the list. In MM3, it does this on other lists, but not on one with only 0 or 1 played songs.

I can't find this option, where is it?

My suspicion is this isn't it, given that random works fine on playlists that have tracks with over one play, but I'll chase it down.
