Re: Advanced search questions

Wow. That should help! Looks like you can kill a lot of time just figuring out all the things it can do though. :o

Thanks!

Advanced search questions

I like to have a consistent look & feel for all of the tracks in my library so I often create auto-playlists to help my filter out tracks that need some modifications. However, I'm having some issues getting the results I want and am not sure if I'm just doing something wrong or if some of the searc...

Re: Can an auto-playlist be flaky?

Thanks for the replies! @nohitter - This isn't the case. In fact, I created a test auto-playlist with the custom field as "known" (so I have both cases covered) and still the track doesn't show up. @Lowlander - I have it set to the Entire Library. I'm getting around this at the moment by using "Adde...

Re: Can an auto-playlist be flaky?

An interesting thought, but my Classical collection only looks for "Classical" in the genre.

But, even so, they should still show up in an auto-playlist that looks for a custom field to be unknown...

Re: Can an auto-playlist be flaky?

Followup... Although I DO see the first of the missing artists in the Recently Added auto-playlist, I am completely unable to get it to show up in either an auto-playlist where '"Reviewed" is unknown' OR in one where '"Reviewed" is known'! I even tried changing the "Reviewed" field to a value of "FI...

Re: Can an auto-playlist be flaky?

The import has finished and, out of 64 artists, only 59 made it into the Unreviewed auto-playlist. I've only started looking into the first of the five that didn't show up and I can't get this one to have the Reviewed flag as unknown... This is getting a bit annoying.

Re: Can an auto-playlist be flaky?

Actually, all files were imported before I opened the Unreviewed auto-playlist. I was working on the files in the auto-playlist (adding genres, correcting spelling, etc.) when I noticed the first artist that was missing. I hit <F5> to refresh the auto-playlist but it didn't bring in the missing arti...

Can an auto-playlist be flaky?

I'm finally starting to mass load music into MM again so I created a folder to put new music in and set MM to monitor that folder. I have a simple method to help determine what the newly imported music is (so I can completely prepare it the way I like before it gets lost with all the rest of the tra...

Re: How to stop MM from trying to play missing files?

Wow, didn't think of that.

I did think to make sure that repeat was off and it eventually went through all the tracks and stopped. Although I do think the stop button should have stopped it.

How to stop MM from trying to play missing files?

I made a copy of all my MM files and music to a new external hard drive then connected it to a spare laptop for testing. Unfortunately, I forgot to remap the files to match the new drive letter and made the mistake of double-clicking on the first file (which was in the Entire Library collection whic...

Where do the dropdown values come from?

My assumption for the values displayed in a dropdown is that they come from one of two places: 1) A list of all values actually being used, and 2) A pre-defined set of values. However, what I'm currently seeing as selectable values in the Quality dropdown include some weird extras (like "3", "4", "C...

Re: How do I mass delete lyrics?

Ok, tried a few more things, then found an ADDON (Clear Field) that was able to accomplish the task!

Update Lyrics for multiple files

I don't really care for lyrics and the relatively few tracks that I have that include lyrics probably don't take up too much space, but I like to use "Any text field" in the criteria for auto-playlists and they sometimes find things in the lyrics that I don't care about. So, I created a playlist of ...

Just wanted to let you know that when you click on the knowledge base link from the Addons tab it doesn't go anywhere.
