Re: Sync expansion cards within players?

Thanks. So, going back to my original question, can we expect this anytime soon? ( Question for any MM staff browsing the forum, I guess. )

I have the latest firmware for the Stiletto.

But if it's a firmware issue, why would the expansion card be visible in WMP and Rhapsody, but not MM3?

Re: Sync expansion cards within players?

Yes, I'm using a Sirius Stiletto 2. MM3 only shows "Internal Memory", while Windows Media Player and Rhapsody show both "Internal Memory" and "Expansion Card".

I no longer have my Sansa Fuze, but when I was syncing it with MM3 (several months ago), there was the same issue.

Sync expansion cards within players?

MediaMonkey people;

What's the status on adding the ability to access expansion cards (microSDHC etc.) while they're in the player? Any hope of getting this soon?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Support for Media players expansion slots (SD and such)

Yeah, I basically stopped using MediaMonkey and learned to live with WMP, because of this. So many MP3 players have expansion slots now, I consider supplying a function for syncing expansion cards to be a basic piece of functionality for a music program. I'm wondering whether it's really a huge amou...

Right click on Library in the Music Explorer Tree, Filters, Manage Filters, Add Filter, Add Search Criteria: Property: Path/Filename Condition: Doesn't Contain Value: name of directory you don't want to have in your library ... make sure to throw in a backslash or whatever so you don't also filter o...

alternatively, you could use filters to 'hide' certain folders from the library views (requires gold for filter configurability). Nice! I'd never had a need to use filters before. It works perfectly. MediaMonkey does indeed continue to rock. Now once it adds the ability to see DAPs' expansion cards...

Expand the tree and then uncheck the sub-tree you want to exclude. Is this under Options->Library->File Monitor? If so, I don't see how to do this. The "Add Folder" button brings up a standard folder browser dialog, with no checkboxes next to subdirectories. No. I was looking at Locations->Drive No...

I think there are already several other threads/posts mentioning this, but I'll add my "hear, hear" anyway. This is a fairly significant feature that is missing in MM. Having to take the card out of the player to sync it in MTP mode is wear-and-tear on the card and the player. And another drawback t...

Re: Support for Media players expansion slots (SD and such)

Just change your USB mode to MSC instead of MTP mode. Also make sure your firmware is updated in your sansa. This should work for any player that supports both modes. Sometimes it's called something else other than MSC. Meadiamonkey sees both the player and the card and can copy to both. Enjoy OK, ...

It already does, if you have the "auto-sync from device to PC" checkbox checked.

Sandisk is actually pretty good at coming out with firmware updates that address problems that people post in the Sandisk Sansa forum. This particular issue is on their radar screen.

There's at least one other thread on this issue, probably more. It's an issue for a lot of Sandisk Sansa users, as well. I haven't heard anything more than "being considered for a future release." I hope so; I think a lot of people consider this to be a non-trivial lack of a feature that's been in o...
