Re: [SOLVED] COM Object Odd Error

The root of the problem is probably the people who had this problem did not allow the setup to launch MM because when it's launched by the setup it is launched with admin privileges so you have to manually launch it as admin one time because COM works only properly when it's at least launched one ti...

The admin trick works, so it's a bug new MM 3.2 and also happens with x86 systems?

Re: [SOLVED] COM Object Odd Error

It's probably the same issue I have with my VB.NET app, I thought it's related to Win x64 and not to the latest version, are previous versions still available?

Re: Type lib properly registered on x64 systems?

The included scripts work here too because they use automation (IDispatch) but my code requests interfaces which fails I guess because of broke registration, can you start MM from a external script like I wrote in the other thread?

Is scripting broke on Win 7 x64?

Since nobody answered the other post here a problem description less experienced programmers can comprehend. I cannot start MM from a VBScript!

Code: Select all

Set SDB = CreateObject("SongsDB.SDBApplication")
This fails to create, there is no coclass with ProgID SongsDB.SDBApplication to be found in the registry!

Type lib properly registered on x64 systems?

I switched from x86 to x64 windows causing my VB.NET addon stopping to work. Since I also installed a new MM version I thought some of the problems might be caused by changed interfaces so I tried to rebuild the interop assembly but Visual Studio nor Sharp Develop shows me the MM library so maybe it...

Re: Having critical issues, need some help

Thanks, I'm still debugging, it seems the bug is in my extension, database connection not closed or something and if I add new tracks to the library then for instance the background thread responsible for this just hangs. :-? Other issue is if I assign a handler to the shutdown event (I'm using VB.N...

Re: MonkeyToys: VB.NET extension adding MCE remote support

It's some COM+ connection error, I wonder if all x64 users have this issue? Maybe it would help to compile it for x86 instead of target platform which is the default in .NET. Before I try this and upload another build it would be helpful to have some feedback by other x64 users.

Re: MonkeyToys: VB.NET extension adding MCE remote support

It's a COM+ error code, does anybody know what is the easiest way to find out what kind of error it is and can other users confirm this error happens on all Vista x64 systems?

Re: MonkeyToys: VB.NET extension adding MCE remote support

Hello, Version 1.2 is now available, in past I had a lot problems with several bugs and some were nasty, I'm not sure which ones were released but if you had problems the new version might work better. Following changes were made: Needs .NET 2.0 on XP and works out of the box in Vista or Win 7 since...
