Easy Migration
This topic has surely been dealt with before--I will shortly be increasing the size of my HDD to accomodate the unending expansion of my library. If I copy the existing archive onto a bigger drive, how do I present this to the computer which runs MEdia Monkey? In other words, I assume there's some w...

Failure to Search
I've had trouble with duplicate files and use the Search function to assemble the cohort so I can separate or delete as needed. Recently I found that the Search function did not work; I had my Music display open which showed a range of files in my database under Tallis as composer with some under th...

Annoying error message
When I open Media Monkey I get an error message which says "Problem Downloading File" which it identifies as "dso.org/VideoReg.aspx; unknown protocol". How do I eliminate this message?

Appearance
My fresh install of Media Monkey Gold has an unpleasant and low-readability display of white lettering on a black background. How do I revert to the previous, readable hence useable black lettering on a white background?

Where is mediamonkey.ini
I keep a backup HDD with all my music files plus the Media Monkey data. I run Win 7 Ult 64bit and believe I have found the folder where the metadata and other such is kept; I copy this folder and paste it onto the HDD every time I backup. Where is the mediamonkey.ini file? It doesn't seem to be in t...

Where does Media Monkey hide its library data in Win 7?
I read the standard piece in the FAQ's about this question and have looked for a Roaming\MediaMonkeyt path but cannot find a Roaming folder in my computer. I have not figured out yet how to get a useable Search function in Win 7 so am handicapped there but as far as the screwed-up version of Search ...

Re: No output
There are 3 default ones, are you saying you only have 1? (A reinstall should fix that). No, I have three plugins--MM Direct Sound Output, MM WASAPI and waveOutput v 2.0.2a I can get output from the USB ports so I think the problem is in the High Definition Audio controller; driver for it is 6.1.76...

Re: No output
I seem to recall that in an earlier install of MM I had other output plugins. If I click on the "download more plugins" link all I get is one which is entirely in Chinese ( I think) and another which seems to be only an adjuster for crossfade. Where can I download the MediaMonkey Direct plugin (or a...

Re: No output
That's not the Tray icon, the Tray icon is in your Windows Taskbar next to the clock. OK, TNX for guidance. I see the S/PDIF icon which says its running at 100%. I open the details of this icon and can see 4 volume-controller channels into this device. Two are working, ie System Sounds and one othe...

Re: No output
Check if the volume in MediaMonkey isn't muted (right click MediaMonkey Tray Icon, Volume > 100%). Right-clicking the Tray icon (strip across the bottom of the screen) brings up a menu which does not have volume setting---options are 1) Open URL, 2) Now Playing, 3)Level Playback, 4)Config. Input Pl...

My Media Monkey system has suddenly ceased outputing its signal to my preamp. The toolbar at the bottom shows that the track is playing. The computer is connected thru the system because I can hear Windows sounds thru my speakers. Somehow Media Monkey isn't connecting thru the computer to its output...

Audition mode
Does Media Monkey have an "audition " mode? I'm looking for a way to play the first 15 or 20 seconds of each track in a library or playlist with the goal of rapidly finding the exact type of music or file that I want to listen to.
