Re: MM Library on external harddrive

Thanks Peke for the info on Steve Monk's ksplugin - I tried it and it was easy to set-up and use but the end result was the same, the sound quality is not up to my expectations. For me that confirms that the problem must be the Edirol and the DAC they use. I will follow the advice from MMan and cont...

Re: MM Library on external harddrive

Thanks for the feedback concerning the volume leveling, I am using volume leveling and as you suggest that may have implications for sound quality. Unfortunately my Amp does not have optical inputs, it is from another generation (like me) but it is very good otherwise. Yes, the Marantz CD player fro...

Re: MM Library on external harddrive

Thanks MMan for your detailed response, I tried the SSE version and it works! The sound quality that I am getting is a disappointment - the Edirol is probably the problem here. The reviews are very good but it was probably not designed to accommodate classical music. I am playing FLac files which we...

Re: MM Library on external harddrive

Many thanks to MMan for this and other posts about soundcards and using your stereo to play your music using MM. Lots of very usefull information but I wonder whether MMan or anyone else can share their experience-knowledge on installing ASIO as a plugin. I have read the posts and the WIKI but despi...

Re: MediaMonkey Suite

There are probably as many views about this as there are MM fans. For what it's worth I will prefer stand-alone versions for audio, video, photos's and whatever else. One of the things that I love about MM is exactly that it is focussed on audio and because of that focus does it very well. I would i...

Re: Howto add flac files with same tags?

A BIG Thank You to Bex who wrote the script and to nohitter who, not for the first time, helped me to enjoy the magic of MM.

Re: Howto add flac files with same tags?

You can try my Advance duplicate script, link in sig, it has a Copy/Paste Metadata feature which lets you to copy tags from one set of files to another easily. I am a new MM 3 Gold V3 user (9 months) and have just completed transferring my classical library to MM, some 55 gb's and 4.5k files and sp...

Re: Duplicate Files

hi all,
Solved the problem after reading what felt like hundreds of posts.

In 2003 Lowlander suggested deleting the source file from the Location node

Thanks Lowlander, solved my problem. I suppose I will eventually get to know this wonderfull program!!

Duplicate Files

Hi all,  I am setting MM(Gold) V3 up on a new computer and forgot to change the source drive path when I scanned my 4000+ files now I have 4000 Duplicates. I downloaded the Advanced Duplicates script but cannot work out how to designate the files to be deleted as none of the options wor...

Hi Botijo,
I have used the Nero Infotool and found that neither of my drivers (Asus standard CD drive and HP1040e CD/DVD drive) can write text and I assume this is the problem.

Is there any way that this can be overcome?

Adding/Burning track details to cd

I apologise in advance for what must seem a silly question to the wise men but I cannot work out why, when I burn an audio cd from the library the track information (title, composer etc) is not written to the cd. I need this information on the cd as an easy way to print the label in Lightscribe.

Thanks for the responses, I experimented with FLAC but not all my audio equipment will play it (ancient, like the owner) and so I am sticking with 320kbps MP3 and suppose the price paid in time is worth the quality especially given classical music. I ripped a CD wit Bach violin concerto's, a real te...

Converting to MP3

Hi, I recently migrated to MM3 gold from RealPlayer as RP could not handle the large number of files and crashed creating many hours of work. I am still busy converting my collection to MP3 but as you know (and as the help file warns) converting at 320kbps is pedestrian to say the least. Is this a l...
