Re: Grabbing Track#

Thanks Bex
That was partially effective. About 6 tracks (in about 3500) still insist in getting their own Track # even when the library is rescanned

Grabbing Track#

I normally keep the Track # field blanc and while I was removing some track number entries I noticed that, if the track has a number in the name in the name ie 500 Miles or 1812 Overture or a number in the artist name ie B 52s or 1927 then the Track # grabs 50, 1812, 52, 1927 in the examples previou...

Directory Opus is just about the ultimate file manager and display all files - hidden or not.
I hate having problems that I don't understand let alone can't solve.
MM has been one of my favourite apps since about '95 when I started using it and registered it.

Need location of MM2.5 files

I am having substantial problems with Ver3 - the database is being corrupted similar to what was happening during MM3 beta runs. I have a feeling it could be to do with MM2.5 config & database files. Therefore could someone tell me the names & where the MM2.5 .ini file and database are store...

Finished up deleting the database and then re-read the library. This cured about 95% of the problem. I then went through the library and cleared the remaining track# and all seems well. I'll have to see if it happens again.
Thanks for suggestions, I really appreciate the effort.

Thanks drjboulder
Gave it a try but seems to make no difference - all track # still have artists 1st name.
Library has been fine since MM3 released and nothing has been changed.
Today the problem appeared

Track # problem

I started MM302 today and all of the track # have taken on the first name of the track artist. I always clear the track numbers in the library so re-clearing some 1000's of track# fields is a big task. Any ideas how I can clear them again as easily and quickly as MM has filled them in.

Same here. I adjust the column widths and close MM3. When I reopen the Title and Artist columns have adjusted out to the width required to display the longest string in both columns and the right most column (in my case Rating) has narrowed. I don't run MM3 at full screen but the overall window has ...

Thanks gege.
Interesting that IE is used, I normally try and avoid it like the plague.
The Firefox option looks good - I'll give it a try.
As far as I can see Opera has no such capability

Thanks gege, this is one great script.
One request - when there is no lyrics available in the tag there is
Search lyrics using Google
Is there any way to add the option to use the default browser (I use Opera) and not IE to do the Google search.

Thanks

I didn't realise that double clicking those double arrows auto sets the column width. Since I don't change ths column widths in MM very often it doesn't worry me. I have been using MM for a couple of years without knowing, so alls well here
