Re: Update tags from random selection of files selected in library
But with 100000 files, I would rather just read specific selected files than re scan the whole library again... as I know what files I have modified...

Update tags from random selection of files selected in library
I see Edit tags / Update tags but this updates the tag (flie) from the library... as far as I can determine! Is there functionality to update library from tags from a random selection of files/titles? for example I use MixMeister to add BPM to my files where it is missing, so I drag a random selecti...

Change of playlists to Force relative path
I am moving around my MM library/music to use standalone on a laptop with external storage (4TB) rather than my home set up desktop connected to a NAS. I copied the music and the library with playlists (which are all in a separate folder in the music folders) but the playlists don't work in the stan...

Re: MM5 no longer writes saved playlists url correctly?
ok, thank you for the clarification, I think I'm getting what the functionality is here. What is an "absolute path"? one that can be used on any machine device, (I see that states in the popup text) so I think this is the answer to my question... I will try to answer that, please let me k...

Re: MM5 no longer writes saved playlists url correctly?
In other words, MediaMonkey can write .m3u files when: a) Syncing b) Using the File > Export function c) Using the Send to > M3U playlist option M3U playlist formatting is configured for: a) Syncing: via a device/location's Sync Profile b) or c) Exporting: via Tools > Options > Tags and Playlists. ...

Re: MM5 no longer writes saved playlists url correctly?
On MediaMonkey 5.0.2 you can determine how Playlists are exported from MediaMonkey under Tools > Options > Tags & Playlists. You can disable Force relative paths to get the old absolute Paths in exported Playlist files. I think you made this to complicated! Surely the default should be what it ...

Re: MM5 no longer writes saved playlists url correctly?
I think you made this to complicated! Surely the default should be what it used to do... with the options selectable... I have no idea what a "relative path" is and I don't think I want to know! I don't have the option Tools/options/playlists It is not syncing I am doing... I am saving the...

Re: re attaching disassociated MM database back to files
Yesish, MediaMonkey will look for the matching files on the new location and make the matches. You just need to confirm they're correct. Have you actually tried this? ie removing the source and pointing at the new location to find the file? So I removed the patch cable from the NAS and opened MM5, ...

Speed of nodes opening to show sub nodes has become more sensitive [#18667]
5.0.2.2524 The speed of Nodes opening to show sub nodes has become more sensitive as you drag over the top of them. The speed that the Nodes drop open has increased significantly to the point that dragging and dropping a node or sub node to an alternate location can almost open up all the nodes befo...

MM5 no longer writes saved playlists url correctly?
Up until my previous writing of a playlist to M3U ie in save to m3u file in August 2021 the url was written to the m3u playlist as eg \\VIDEO-SERVER\Music\000 Singles\100 Hits - Great British Songs 2017\10.Jo Boxers - Boxerbeat.mp3 which has the correct Server that the file is on. Working on migrati...

Re: re attaching disassociated MM database back to files
So in that case, it appears that it will be effectively re-scanning to find them, so I wonder what would be the advantage there. The alternative would be to rename the old database, start mm, and just rescan. No input required. But that's the same as "clear database" and rescanning files ...

Re: re attaching disassociated MM database back to files
So Adobe Lightroom - I just pointed it at the new top directory using the function "update folder location" on the new server "photos" and it linked everyone of the 400,000 photos and moved the edits/changes held in the library to the photo in its new location. Regarding MM5 None...
