Re: Generating genre from folders
OK, I thought I'd have a play around and see if it did work OK, and this is what I did, and it does work. -- Using the "My Computer" node, go down to your music folder and select "All" just under the main music folder. In my case this is C:\TI10537000C] -> Users -> Bob -> Music -...

SQL Error when doing Optimize Database Complete
I have just recently started to use the Database Optimization function after making changes to my library (deleting albums, adding new albums, correcting case errors etc). I didn't think to use it previously. It seemed to work OK the first few times I used it, but now I get errors while optimization...

Re: Correcting scratched CD's
Find someone that has iZotope RX5 Audio Editor..... I understand that it has tools to do exactly what you are looking for. However it's outta my pocketbook range.... That will work on vinyl, but not so much on CDs, unless it is only a very minor error. If the CD is damaged to the point it skips bad...

Re: Correcting scratched CD's
I bought a second hand commercial disc repair machine, that came up for sale at a very good price, and one thing I have found is that most discs that won't play or rip properly do so because of data layer problems, not surface scratches. About the only time surface scratches have any great effect is...

Glad to hear it worked for you SoulSonic. I heard about it on another forum, a couple of days before I read your question.

Re: Sync multiple formats and avoid duplicates?
I have a similar problem. I have my library separated into a FLAC folder, and a MP3 folder. The MP3 folder contains MP3 dupes of the FLAC albums, as well as MP3 albums that aren't included in the FLAC folder. This means I have duplicates of around 1,000 albums (FLAC and MP3 of each) I have a 2TB dri...

Have you tried FAT Sorter? http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Fil ... rter.shtml
Sync files to your USB, then run FAT Sorter on the USB stick.

Re: Comments in INI file
Having MM edit (append?) the .ini rather than rewrite it, which is what you would need to retain comments, would be a lot more complex to implement, than just creating a new .ini file. Maybe you could keep a copy of the basic .ini (call it myini or something) for you to refer to when you want to see...

Or use Exact Audio Copy to rip, convert wav to MP3 etc, and use MM to manage your library. Which is what I do

Re: Advanced Report 6.4 - missing
I am new to MediaMonkey, new to this forum and forums in general, and hope that I correctly can ask my question. I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise on a WD server and a Dell XP5. After reading all the recent posts on Advanced Reports being missing, I followed all the suggestions that I could, includi...

Re: Advanced Report 6.4 will not install
I down load the file from Trix and open it. It appears to install OK. However, it is not shown in the "Create Reports" pull down and I cannot find a vbs file for it anywhere. I am running Windows 7 as an administrator. Thanks in advance for any help. Bill Did you use your file browser sea...

Re: Advanced Report 6.4 - Updated 24/06/2014
Yeah, this particular script seems to do that a lot. I can't work out why, even after rebuilding the installation package from scratch. If anyone can figure it out, I'd be really pleased! :) I'm using Win8.2 and when I tried to install this script I got the same problem.. No menu selection for Adva...
