Re: When will you port to Linux?

In the meantime, can you please provide tips to help run MediaMonkey 5 under wine on Linux? For example, it's possible to install MediaMonkey and the app launches, however the menus are cut off and there is a web window that automatically opens and cannot be closed. There are probably some component...

Re: How to search for and play item without wiping out playl

I think I just figured something out: Normally what I do is select a playlist in the tree and choose Play Now. The first thing I then do is click at the top of the tree Now Playing because I pretty much always want to see what is actually playing at the moment and where it is in the list in referenc...

Re: Difference between "File list" and "Current collection"?

Ok thank you for your very detailed and illuminating answer. I also think I just figured something out. Normally what I do is select a playlist in the tree and choose Play Now. Re: How to search for and play item without wiping out playl

Thank you. That definitely improves things by being able to set "Play selected files only". However there is another problem. If the search scope is set to "Current location", when I search for a particular string it appears to return results for my entire library. If I only want...

Re: Difference between "File list" and "Current collection"?

Hi, what exactly is the difference between "File list" and "Current collection" for the search scope? I started out by selecting a playlist and then right-clicking and selecting "Play now". Does that mean the files are now in the file list or the current collection? Th...

Re: when are they gonna make "now playing" not dumb? e

Wow, its now 2015 and I still agree wholeheartedly with this. If you have enqueued a playlist and its showing up in Now Playing, and you want to search for a particular song in that playlist and start playing it immediately, how can you do it? If you search for a song and select the scope "File...

How to search for and play item without wiping out playlist?

Hello, this issue is driving me crazy - I load a playlist I want to play. Then I would like to search for a particular song in the currently playing playlist. I use the search bar at the upper right and choose "FIle List" as the search scope from the drop-down menu. The song I want shows u...
