Re: Volume levelling across ALL TRACKS
Hello everybody, I would like to know how volume levelling affects the individual track files on disk. Does it change the original source file on my HD or does it change just the file in the MM library leaving the original HD file untouched? For background information, does the MM library contain an...

Re: multiple Albums per Artist are no longer in separate alb
have you tried File > Maintain Library > Optimization (complete)? ===>. No, I havenot. I will in the AM. some artists, but not all, have lost their album nodes so all the tracks belonging to that artist are listed under the artist with no album nodes. Some? How many we talkin'? ....just a few, half,...

multiple Albums per Artist are no longer in separate albums
My MM library has been fine for about 6 months. In the Music collection, I have around 40 artists and each artist has an average of 3 albums with an average 10 tracks per album. The albums have always been listed in subordionate album nodes under the artist to which they belong in the main window. S...

Re: How can I make my tag changes become permanent in my har
Thank you. I understand that it is meant to be a music tag, but it does have a definite effect on my video files. What I have learned is that, when empty, no sub node in the media tree is created for the tracks concerned, but when it does have a value, a node is created in the media tree under the ...

Re: How can I make my tag changes become permanent in my har
The problem I am trying to solve is that the topic, Optimizing the Brain, has an extra sub node that is a duplicate of itself. I do not need the extra sub node. It is there because the field, Album Artist, contains the same value as the field, Series, or Director, I am not sure which. ==============...

Re: How can I make my tag changes become permanent in my har
Unfortunately, the one tag field that is most importanbt to me is "Album Artist". It is unfortunate because that field is not present in the "edit properties for multiple files" dialog panel. Because it is not in the panel, the checkbox that is used to make a change permanent is...

Re: How can I make my tag changes become permanent in my har
Thank you for that. I saw those checkboxes but was unsure what they meant. There is one tag field, "Album Artist", that does not appear in the "Edit properties for multiple files" dialog. Because it is not present in the dialog panel, I can not do a bulk edit for that field and ...

How to do a global tag update based on another tag's value
I need to do a global tag update based on another tag's value as follows: I want the tag field named "Album Artist" to contain the same value as the field named "Series" in every video file in my entire video collection, that is for files with Type = "video".

Bulk edit of tag field, AlbumArtist?
How do I edit the tag named AlbumArtist for a group of files, not one at a time. That tag field, AlbumArtist, is not present in the " Edit Properties for Multiple Files" dialog so I can not find a way to bulk edit this tag.

Re: How can I make my tag changes become permanent in my har
NO. I am not making changes outside of MM. I am making tag changes in the edit properties dialog screen inside Media Monkey. Then I am copying these changed files to my hard drive folders that contain my original video files (mostly *.mp4) and finding that the tag changes are lost (not carried over ...

How can I make my tag changes become permanent in my hard dr
I have done some updates of tag values in my video collection. I need these tag updates to become permanent values in my video source files on my hard drive. After I do the tag updates, I am doing an auto organize to move or copy the files containing the new tag values to my hard drive collection o...

Re: Tracks are not sorted properly in art view
I meant to say "the third character in the track name". The first 2 characters are my track number, and it is being ignored by mediamonkey. Without those first two characters, a correct sort is impossible. I am not missing any fields, I am only missing the first 2 characters described abov...

Tracks are not sorted properly in art view
in the art view of the main panel, the icons shown are, in fact, the tracks in the album selected. My problem is that the track names displayed are starting at column 3 of the track name, omitting the track no. The consequence is that the tracks are not sorted properly, as they are missing the track...
