Not to put words in Peke's mouth, as he is definitely a wise and grand wizard of "being in the know", but after that statement, you know it's coming eventually. I'm a fan of both Windows and Linux. I want to see the Monkey on Linux, but I won't give up Windows until Linux makes it easier t...

Re: Clean ID3v1 and V2 tags not working - bug?
I've never had a need to use it myself, but I decided to test it out on a couple of tunes and I'm not getting anything noticeable either. I could just be missing something though, like it cleans them but not in a way I'm expecting (it says something about "doesn't change library properties"...

Re: Track is fine on pc but cuts at end on device
I've encountered this/similar problem a couple times over the last 15 years or so, but not with an Ipod.
I think I reformatted the file (make a test copy before reformatting) with different software (same specs) and it worked.
Worth a try (if don't work try different specs, just play around with it).

Re: not recognizing songs
So, you didn't tag them in Itunes and you didn't tag them in MM, you are just relying on the tags that came with the songs when you downloaded them to your iPhone?
I'm not an Apple person so I'm just trying to figure any ideas and setup information for anyone with knowledge of the situation.

Re: Playback based on rating range
You could also create a collection with specified conditions. This way you can see and work with all the tracks (all the time) in your library that have those coditions.

Re: not recognizing songs
Not much to go on there. Usually people post info and then later possibly a screenshot. You posted a screenshot with hardly any info. Is your situation that the missing tags are in your files, but they don't show up? From your path it looks like you might have some Itunes involvement with you...

Re: Disable autofill Album Artist
I can understand the need to disable it but to speak of it as being completely unnecessary seems strange. It is supposed to be for multi-artist album use, unless, you only mean unnecessary for you and people who have the same needs. I would think most people do use album folders. However, I don't se...

Re: Can't convert OGG files
I dont' use MM to convert or rip so don't know, but if you can't find an MM friendly solution, try this: fre:ac - stands for "free audio converter" (formerly known as "BonkEnc"). http://www.freac.org/ This is great if you want something quick, simple, lightweight and the ability ...

Re: False negatives when burning CD in Free Version
It is just a Compaq laptop with standard device so that could be the problem. WMP burned fine but I found it too limiting in interface, as for iTunes, the least said soonest mended and MusicBee just failed to see the CD drive altogether so that was quickly filed under uninstall. Was your laptop bou...

Re: Song name in library /= file name
the file names didn't change accordingly. According to what? The title field? Your filenames are not typically named the proper song title already? is there a way to apply the information from the MM library to the files? Auto-Tag from web doesn't change the filename. You might be able to do this w...
