Re: Can I import settings and data from MMW4?
Thanks for your response. The MediaMonkey documentation is not very clear, but I do not see where it says to copy the MediaMonkey4 database (MM.db) into the MediaMonkey5 Portable folder and rename it to MM5.db. (It might work. I just can't find anything that says to do that.) The page you linked to ...

Re: Can I import settings and data from MMW4?
IDK about the OP, but yes, I have MM4 (and MM5) in portable mode. I copied the MM.db to the MediaMonkey\Portable\ folder before I installed it, and MM did not update the database. I then ensured there was a MediaMonkey shortcut in Start Menu\Programs pointing to the MediaMonkey4\mediamonkey.exe appl...

FYI: MM hangs looking for QT file
MM 3.0.7.1191
I thought I'd point out that MM can hang if you uninstall QuickTime, as reported in this KB article.
After I uninstalled QT, MM infinite looped on startup because it was looking for quicktime.qts (I think I have the filename correct). Renaming the iPhone DLL fixed it.

Re: Sync options for two ipods
I reported this almost a year ago, but it hasn't made the bug list. I'm not sure why since it's a very annoying bug that severely handicaps MM with iPods. Plus, it works fine with Creative MP3 players. Weird.

Re: Synchronizing two iPod Shuffles
No news. I don't even see it in the bug list so I wouldn't count on it ever being fixed. One kludgey workaround would be to create an auto-playlist for each Shuffle, using whatever criteria you'd use in the auto-sync. Then you can manually sync each Shuffle to its corresponding list. I've got three ...

Re: Track names in "Delete from Device" are unrecognizable
Ah, great. Should I have known to search that database? I didn't see anything in the "How to Report a Bug" post.

iPod Shuffle (2G) sometimes doesn't sync bookmarks
MediaMonkey: 3.0.6.1190 Device: iPod Shuffle (2d gen) Windows XP SP3 fully-patched I typically use my iPod for podcasts (Genre = "Podcast"). I sync my iPod Shuffle (2d gen) to add new tracks or remove tracks I've finished. Frequently, it will lose my place in the podcast I'm currently list...

FYI, this is still an issue in 3.0.6.1190.

Track names in "Delete from Device" are unrecognizable
MediaMonkey 3.0.6.1190 Device: iPod Shuffle (2d Gen) I typically store podcasts on my Shuffle. When I finish one, I delete it from MM (both Library and Computer). When I sync again, MM displays the Delete From Device dialog and prompts me to confirm that I want that track to be deleted. In MM2, when...

Re: Synchronizing two iPod Shuffles
I hope you can appreciate the irony of my 14yo son buying a 32GB X-Fi just a few days ago. How do they get more freedom than us??

Re: Synchronizing two iPod Shuffles
None that I've been told of. It's kind of funny that the four Creative Zen products we have don't have this problem. Another reason to buy Creative.

Re: Synchronizing two iPod Shuffles
Nope, and it shouldn't matter--there's no need to have a separate copy of each DLL for each device you want to use. I don't even care if they can't be plugged in at the same time (although that shouldn't matter); what I really want to do is plug them in at different times and have separate configs f...

Re: Synchronizing two iPod Shuffles
I'm afraid not. I have to manually synchronize one of them. Very tedious.

Yes, I can rename them with MM, but it didn't help. There's only one d_iPod.dll in the list (Options > Portable/Audio Devices). I've plugged them in separately and together--MM thinks they're the same device and merely updates the name of the device associated with d_iPod.dll. When I plug them in to...

Synchronizing two iPod Shuffles
I have two iPod Shuffles--1Gen and 2Gen--and my son has a 2Gen Shuffle. Unfortunately, MM thinks they're the same, so I can't configure their sync options separately and auto-sync them. MM distinguishes my 40G and 60G Nomads, but not the two Shuffles. Is there any way for MM to handle multiple, iden...
