Re: How to get HD Tracks Sampler into my MM "music" folder?

Are you referring to the Music folder in Windows Explorer (in that case it's easiest to directly download them there from HDTracks) or the Music Collection in MediaMonkey (in the Media Tree). In the latter case just use File > Add/Rescan Files to scan the location where the files were downloaded. N...

How to get HD Tracks Sampler into my MM "music" folder?

Hi, I just today downloaded the HD Tracks 2013 Sampler in flac format to my laptop. The problem is that I can't figure out how to get this album into the "music" folder in MM. I am able to play the album via MM on the laptop, but the album is not actually in the "music" folder. Therefore, my receive...

Re: 24-bit/96kHz/ 192kHz

Just read through your manual and it does play flac files. Pretty cool. I noticed it didn't list any video formats, so I guess you can only play audio through it. Now if your blu-ray player has DLNA it should stream video. Hi, I just wanted to thank you again for the info. I actually was able to se...

Re: 24-bit/96kHz/ 192kHz

I don't know how it's setup in the Onkyo, but it does have DLNA which means it will definitely stream audio and video directly from your laptop. Since you're in the MediaMonkey forum, there is a DLNA server already built in. Tools/options/library/media sharing, and just enable it. Now you have to l...

Re: 24-bit/96kHz/ 192kHz

The receiver is an Onkyo 809, and it does play flac files. Sorry about that got me posts muddled up :D Isn't the Onkyo network-able so you can just access your media directly so I was wondering why you need a "jump" drive :-? Yes, it is, and I have a wireless usb device attached so I can listen to ...

Thanks! I think I will give this a try. The receiver is an Onkyo 809, and it does play flac files.

Re: 24-bit/96kHz/ 192kHz

I have to wonder if somehow the Toshiba laptop is decoding the flac file and sending some type of PCM data to the receiver. Any ideas? A toslink cable is designed to carry PCM data so the answer is yes Thanks for the info! So, I wonder how good the conversion is on the laptop from flac to PCM? Woul...

Re: 24-bit/96kHz/ 192kHz

Well, first of all, high rez music sounds MUCH better to me than CDs. I have a modest collection of SACDs and DVD-Audio disks. In some cases, I also have the corresponding CD, and the high rez just sounds more like real voices and instruments to me. Regarding MM and what it outputs digitally, I am c...

Receiver displays 48kHz input when playing 96k music

Hi, new MM user here. I just got MM and downloaded a 96k track from HDTracks. I have connected my Toshiba laptop to my Onkyo 809 receiver with a high speed HDMI cable. I am hearing the music from the receiver, but when I display the audio info on the receiver, it shows that the input is 48kHz. Is so...

Re: Newbie dilema: flac files won't play after day or two

Does the file play with other players that support FLAC? Have you tried to download other files and see if they do play? Also which FLAC version available on the site did you download and which version of MediaMonkey are you using? Doh! It would have helped if my amp was turned on. I am now listeni...

Re: Newbie dilema: flac files won't play after day or two

OK, I guess I was just opening these with MM. So, I downloaded one of these tracks to the computer. I found it in recent downloads, selected it, and told it to play with MM. However, nothing seems to happen.

Thanks for the reply! I thought I was downloading into MM. The track still is visible in MM. Where SHOULD I be downloading tracks?

Newbie dilema: flac files won't play after day or two

Hi all, I just started out with MM, and have downloaded some free high rez music files in flac format. However, it seems that if I re-open MM a day later and try to play those files, nothing happens. I didn't see anything about a time limit on those files. Here is the one I am currently trying to pl...
