Love the skin, however I've come across one problem.
When I try to use the search bar, no queries are returned.
It's like I'm just typing in to a text box and no search is being performed.

Any advice?

There is no limitations that would be caused due to fault of MediaMonkey. The only reason why it would be slower is because when a hard drive (external especially) is not accessed in a while, the disk spins down and has to spin up again before the files on it can be read. Note the difference between "level playback volume" and "level track volume". I think you're after 'level track volume'.

I had a similar problem, I posted about it. Ultimately, it came down to settings of the skin as programmed by the devloper.

Unless if I'm mistaken, the Media Sharing feature doesn't allow you to add shared files to the library like that. At least I don't think it's possible, I haven't tried. I'll have a go tomorrow and let you know.

The 'Media Sharing' feature only allows devices (ie your laptop) access to your desktop's media. It does not mean that the files are being transferred to the laptop, at least not permanently. If you want to transfer your library, then I'd suggest you get an external hard drive of some sort and copy ...
