Re: Auto Organize-Create Album folder only if more than 1 so
Thank you both. I was hoping I could use the 'if' function to differentiate a file and a folder, possibly with the 'path' or 'folder', to process a file and a folder differently. It would be really great if I could ignore/copy/move an existing folder, for example a folder that already has the album ...

Allow Tag Editing, Deny File Deletion...
Using Virtualbox (Windows Guest) running MediaMonkey, I can access all music files on the Linux file system (ext4). Works very well. Problem; I'm not finding a solution as to how to allow tag editing 'only' ..., no file deletion, file name change, moving etc. Can someone please recommend a solution ...

Re: Playlist in Main Window 2.0.0 (2012-08-05)
Thank you Bex. Your script has worked fantastically so far... there hasn't been a need yet to view the help file. I will take a look. If I understand your answer above, there is no way to remove entries in a Custom1 field after your script is activate/updated, and must be done in MM via another meth...

Re: Playlist in Main Window 2.0.0 (2012-08-05)
Thank you Bex.
Is there a way to 'undo' the tags your script has created (COMM) via the
script itself ? It seems once the Custom1 is populated, updating with all
playlists 'checked' doesn't remove all entries from the Custom1 field.
Regards,
Kostarena.

Re: Playlist in Main Window 2.0.0 (2012-08-05)
Hi Bex, I've copied and pasted the changes exactly at line 400. I've substituted the DELIMITER with a space. I've restarted MM and updated the playlists. No effect. Could I have done something different ? Thank you. Kostarena Yes, Change line 400. From: Function GetSELECTSql(NameOrCount) If NameOrCo...

Re: Multiple Comments...
Since I can't determine how MM is choosing which comment to use when there are multi comments present, I've decided on removing the offending comment that's jamming my media player (Clementine). In Linux, if anyone has the same problem and wishes to selectively remove a multi comment, http://www.med...

Re: Get "Playlist" field into "Composer" field
Solved how to remove a 'single' comment if you have multiple comments that are troubling your media player, like mine (Clementine). In Linux, using program: eyeD3 Example : Song: ZZ Top - Sleeping Bag.mp3 Get id3 tag Information: eyeD3 ZZ\ Top\ -\ Sleeping\ Bag.mp3 ZZ Top - Sleeping Bag.mp3 [ 9.35 M...

Re: Multiple Comments...
OK.
Thank you Lowlander.
I'm still not clear on which comments field will be displayed if there are multiple comments (COMM) ?
Does the below mean there is no description, therefore MM uses that comment ?
=== COMM (Comments): ()[XXX]: Billboard Year End Hot 100 Of 1997

Multiple Comments...
Hi. Is it possible to display multiple comments in the comments column in list view ? e.g. === COMM (Comments): ()[XXX]: Billboard Year End Hot 100 Of 1997 === COMM (Comments): (Songs-DB_Custom1)[XXX]: 1990-POP; 1990-SLOW; LOVE-SONGS === COMM (Comments): (ID3v1 Comment)[XXX]: Billboard Year End Hot ...

Re: Get "Playlist" field into "Composer" field
Spoke too soon, back again with a new issue... I've used the script to copy the 'Custom 1' field to the 'Album/Artist' field. e.g. === COMM (Comments): ()[XXX]: Billboard Year End Hot 100 Of 1997 === COMM (Comments): (Songs-DB_Custom1)[XXX]: 1990-POP; 1990-SLOW; LOVE-SONGS === COMM (Comments): (ID3v...

Re: Playlist in Main Window 2.0.0 (2012-08-05)
Thanks again Bex. Your script has saved me many hours of mucking about with having to do this in a linux bash script for each file..., worrying about commas, punctuation, encodings that choke filenames/paths. Thank you for enabling me to escape awk/grep/sed hell! Lastly, 1. Could there be related pr...

Re: Playlist in Main Window 2.0.0 (2012-08-05)
Thanks again Bex,
I'll avoid the Composer field with your script.
By the way... can I make the playlist delimiter anything other than a semi-colon ; ?
Best regards,
Kostarena

Re: Playlist in Main Window 2.0.0 (2012-08-05)
Bex, Thank you for your answer. I am however, interested in the "Composer" field (TCOM). This is not on the table you reference, so it must mean I cannot/should not use the "Composer" field in Media Monkey with your script ? I have successfully copied via script (RegEx Find/Repla...
