LOL, didn't know you were Jailbroke. I use iphonebrowser. But itunes has still been funky at times concerning the music db file. One point that might need revision. 3GS phones work fine with the beta plugin-as long as they are on 3.0 iphone OS.

My 3g's and 3gs' will work for music, browser, etc with no sim card installed. They were originally activated for ATT by normal means via itunes. I use old 2g phones for players with no sim cards. All the phones had been activated with ATT at one time...but I don't see why you couldn't use the other...
