Re: Location view corrupt?

Seems to insist on you restoring a tag in addition to the play count (i.e. you can't import just the play counts). That confused me for a while...

Seems to have restored the play histories and date added. So far as I can tell...

Thanks.

Re: Location view corrupt?

Thanks. Looks like I have the latest version. Odd that it doesn't appear in the Add-on lists, and wasn't found when I searched.

I'll give the play history script a go.

Thanks.

Still baffled at the behaviour though; the library is intact, but the location display doesn't reflect the library...

Re: Location view corrupt?

Just tried the same process on another installation. Foolishly, perhaps... Same result, although the single album found is different. Ah; not quite the same: 'Now Playing' tracks haven't resolved, and the re-scan doesn't make the albums appear, even temporarily. I now see that the UpdateLocationOfFi...

Location view corrupt?

I've recently re-arranged my media NAS, changing from a single Share (Media) containing three sub-folders (Music, Photos, Videos), to three individual Shares. Previously, the Music folder was mapped as a network drive, M: as \\server\Media\Music, and MediaMonkey was pointed to M: After the move, I c...

Re: Strange file insert problem

I don't even know what Collections are, so I'm pretty sure I don't have any set up... The other files in the same directory are all found correctly. I didn't move any files, just added/removed the leading 0. I checked as you suggested; it's currently set to 'Music' on the computer where there was no...

Re: Strange file insert problem

Okay, just played with the file insert settings. I turned off the 'Only for files with changed timestamp or size' option in 'Update file info from tags'. That then found the 03 version file. Interestingly, even though I'd added and deleted the file a number of times, the 'added' date is now the same...

Strange file insert problem

I've just been creating a portable library, and noticed that one of the lossy compressed files didn't have a replay gain tag. This led me to my main library, and I found that the file was missing from my library, but present in the folder. So I re-scanned the folder. Still not found. hmmm... I renam...

Re: Moving a portable library

> I tried MusicBee and it is far inferior to what I do with MMW scripts and very limited in some aspects. As a user, I don't really care about scripting. But if you want some honest feedback, then I'd say MB is better as a player, because the look and feel is better. I can change the size of artwork...

Re: Moving a portable library

> In that case unless you decide to support us rebuild is only choice. That's perfectly fair. But it reminds me that if I'm deleting the library and starting from scratch, I might as well install a portable version of MusicBee, since I much prefer its playback interface, and that's all this portable...

Re: Moving a portable library

Ah, that needs a gold licence.

Looks like I'll just have to do a clean portable install and rebuild the library.

Moving a portable library

My portable MP3 library has now got too big for the 500GB drive I had it on. So I copied everything to a new 1TB drive. Now the portable MM installation on the new drive can't find the previous portable disk, so none of the library is visible. The library move script and file insert only offer the n...

Re: Computer crash need to DL MM 3x version (Gold)

If you're that experienced a computer user, surely you have a system image you can simply restore to...? Or a personal software repository? Good luck finding anything other than the latest version of an app from official app stores, these days... Anyway, it took me a couple of clicks to find this Fi...
