Re: Two questions on syncing from device to library

I'm an idiot. Since I don't own a smartphone, it didn't occur to me that 99.99% of your syncing queries probably have to do with smartphones that are running MediaMonkey as well. So I really should have been clearer as to what I am trying to do. I have two Windows computers, and a SanDisk SansaClip ...

Two questions on syncing from device to library

1) Is there any way to tell MediaMonkey not to create the "Recently Added Content" playlist? 2) For some reason, even though I have playlists selected in the "Auto-Sync (-->Library)" window, the playlists aren't actually copied over onto my PC. It seems like MediaMonkey is using the device's playlis...

Re: Podcast cross-contamination

4.1.15.1830, and yes. I'm running Windows 8.1, if that matters at all. I should also add that I have no less than thirteen other podcast feeds, and none of them are experiencing any of this behavior. Only this one is. Could it be a problem with the libsyn server, on a particular port that MediaMonke...

Podcast cross-contamination

Hi all, I'm experiencing a weird bug with a certain set of podcasts. I'm subscribed to http://weeklysubstandard.weeklystandard.libsynpro.com/rss (The Weekly Substandard). But last week, all of the episodes from billmaher.hbo.libsynpro.com/rss (Bill Maher) suddenly showed up in my feed alongside the ...

Re: Odd podcast behavior: can play, can't download [#8876]

Well, according to the bug tracker, it's been fixed in 4.0.3. When it gets released, I hope to post here with effusive thanks :)

Re: Odd podcast behavior: can play, can't download

(Note: I am the original poster; this is my actual account. I typed in the wrong name under username, not noticing it wasn't expecting me to log in, and it let me use it temporarily.) The podcast did indeed work perfectly in MM3. And I've just tried downloading the most recent episode through gPodde...

Transfer from computer to computer

Hey folks, My contract is up at work and I'll be (hopefully) leaving for another job soon. What's the best way to pack up everything MediaMonkey on my computer, put it on an external disk of some kind, and transfer it to a new computer? I need to transfer the following: - Music files and folders - S...

Re: "Giving up" on a download

As I posted earlier in this thread: Unfortunately I don't think there's any setting to change that interval wait time. I thought that since I had better and more specific information about what I was looking for it would make a difference... after all, I wasn't too clear myself on what I wanted whe...

Re: Preventing Timeout

So after doing some independent research, I've done the following: - Raise MediaMonkey's processing priority to RealTime - Install a program called NetBalancer to raise MM's network-usage priority to High and lower everything else's to Low - Set the particular task within MediaMonkey doing the downl...

Re: "Giving up" on a download

i think you should try speeding up the windows explorer to above normal when you want to download something. as explorer is the item doing the downloading. it might be the one giving up. it can be speeded up to a higher priority and get the download but if you leave explorer at that higher priority...

Preventing Timeout

I have a bit of a strange internet connection here at work, with some idiosyncratic behavior when trying to load almost anything media-like (mp3 files, youtube videos, etc. - whether they're to be played in browser or saved to disk), that I've only seen before at my wife's university. I'll give the ...

Re: Podcasts as part of a playlist

And if the configure button is disabled because I don't have MediaMonkey Gold, I guess I can't do it? Is there maybe a plug-in or add-on or something?

Podcasts as part of a playlist

Hey folks, I've noticed that, if I have a playlist that contains both podcasts and regular songs, MM will never play the podcasts while on shuffle. When not on shuffle it does fine, plays everything in the order it appears, but the only way to get it to shuffle through the podcasts as well as the ot...

Re: MSC playlist Solution Sansa Clip

Autosyncing always worked fine for me in MTP mode, yes, but for some reason random folders would get renamed <randomhexvalue>_<foldername>, which made navigating through folders (which I do more often than navigating through artist or album) quite irritating. I moved to MSC mode in order to avoid th...
