Did you close MediaMonkey properly or did it crash prior to this?

You'd use UPnP in MMA to be able to stream (while on the home network). You can either direct stream from the DLNA Server on the NAS (if enabled) or stream from the Media Server in MediaMonkey (requires the files from the NAS to be scanned from the file server on the NAS).

If you disable the Auto-conversion rules in the Device Profile there won't be any happening.

You're correct that MediaMonkey can't tag read-only files. If File Explorer shows read-only for your files, you'll need to fix this in File Explorer. You may want to do an online search to troubleshoot this.

It may have been cached incorrectly once, and this now continues to be an issue. You could attempt to delete the Thumbs folders where this image is cached.

Is it all JPGs for you, or just the one?

2. If the Artwork that you're not expecting is in the Album folder you'll need to disable Scan file directories for Artwork. It automatically picks up external Artwork files.

5. That depends on other apps. Generally this wouldn't be the case. You can see in DebugView what's captured.
