The new look is... not appealing to me.
I understand it's in Beta. There's a number of things I dislike. 1. The glow around the File Edit View is not pleasing. http://i.imgur.com/9Mkah.png 2. The details screen is rather bland and ugly looking. It used to be a lot better looking. http://i.imgur.com/dp5MJ.png 3. The bottom bar is shrunk. L...

Followed these rules, nothing's changed.
http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=62&nav=0,9 Moved from XP to Windows 7. Filled out a nice cheat sheet to make the transfer easier. But, this isn't doing anything. What I do is, I take a song in MediamMonkey and change the date. I wo...

Re: How does MediaMonkey handle Metadata with identical name
So that option is specifically for changing files that have identical names?
So if I go to that file's properties in MediaMonkey, open and close it, it will save like normal? Is that all that option does?

Re: How does MediaMonkey handle Metadata with identical name
Uh.. what?
So currently, the metadata I save in MediaMonkey is saving to the file. What does this option you are suggesting do differently, exactly?

Double-clicking a song reverts the list to the top. Why?
What causes this to occur, exactly? Occasionally when opening a song in MediaMonkey by double-clicking a song on the list , the list jumps to the top. Does anyone know why this is?

Re: How does MediaMonkey handle Metadata with identical name
So you're saying, if I replace a file that was in MediaMonkey, this option, when pressing Ctrl+S, will save the metadata? I am a little confused, I am sorry. MediaMonkey has been great to me but a lot of these options do go over my head.

Re: How does MediaMonkey handle Metadata with identical name
So when I open the copy's properties, MediaMonkey auto-applies the previes files attributes onto it?

Re: How does MediaMonkey handle Metadata with identical name
Well, the file itself, how does the metadata get into that file? Say, I replace the file. Then I open MediaMonkey. Then I close MediaMonkey and move it to a removable drive. Will it have gotten the metadata onto it like that? This scenario won't ever happen for me, I just am mystified by how this wo...

How does MediaMonkey handle Metadata with identical names?
If I have two songs, say "Oasis - Morning Glory", and it is on the Desktop and in My Documents, they will be separate.
But if I move one to My Documents, it gains the metadata of the file in My Documents. How does this happen, exactly?

Re: Mediamonkey Date/Year metadata tagging
I know you already posted a link. I wrote that I had read a lot on the subject, including and exceeding that link. So Winamp uses Original Year for Year?

Re: Mediamonkey Date/Year metadata tagging
I was asking what it was they added. It seems as if they added the ability to change this aspect of the .ini factor. But I cannot be sure. And what am I changing, exactly? I have read a lot of the material and it is difficult to understand. MediaMonkey has "Year", as in when the song was r...

Re: Mediamonkey Date/Year metadata tagging
I have been reading some old threads and I am a little confused. Was this fixed at some point in the past? Or do I still need to change the .ini file?
