Re: Help: MTP Device Scanning Very Slow

Something seems very wrong with the way MM scans the MTP device. It incorrectly reports 0 free space on the device (while 1.4 GB are still free). I just noticed that for a split second when switching over from "My Computer" (or whereever) to the MTP phone, it does show the correct amount of free spa...

Re: Help: MTP Device Scanning Very Slow

Hey, I'm on MM 4.0.3.1476 and it takes forever to sync through MTP (using a Transformer Prime (Android 4.0.3), no option to use mass storage). Also sometimes it synced to the wrong destination (sd card in tablet rather than tablet itself, might be my fault but I dont remember changing anything...). ...

Re: Backslash in tag folder creation functionality

Hmm, so now I'm on MM 4 and the same feature/bug is broken/"fixed" again, except the workaround described above doesnt work anymore; My Mediamonkey.ini file does not even contain 5C (the ascii code of \) anymore, so I cant replace it.. I've got the Album Field like so: Cycle of Story\No. - Title The...

Re: Misnamed duplicates

Sounds rather complicated. Anyhow, I was lucky as a friend had a similar problem and pointed me to how he resolved it. He used mp3tag, which has scripting functionality for a display filter. That way I was able to filter the file view so only tracks that contained the content of the album tag in the...

Re: Misnamed duplicates

If I understand this correctly, the ones you want to delete should have been added to the database later so they should have a later Added date and also a greater SongID. So first try to KEEP the ones with Oldest DateAdded and/or Lowest SongID and see if the result is correct. Unfortunately, it's n...

Re: Misnamed duplicates

Check out my Advanced Duplicate script, it would be of great help here. Thank you very much. First thing I found out after installing your script was I had about 10% of the tracks in my database unsynchronized... So now they are and the DB has been analyzed. The Custom duplicate search using same A...

Re: Misnamed duplicates

Damn, I was afraid so. The tracks are in the library, but it seems the fault actually happened before the transfer to the NAS, so they even have the same "added" values... Damn damn damn... So I guess my best bet is to look into advanced renaming tools...

Misnamed duplicates

Hey there, I just found something really annoying. I have a lot of duplicate tracks in my library from a transfer that went wrong. Now, what actually went wrong was that many tracks were copied to the new location using the following template: <Track#:3> - <Artist> - <Album> (further called "albumna...

Re: MM for Mac - I just switched to Apple

I got my new Core i7 MacBook Pro two days ago, and it is really nice. I dont understand why anyone would choose OSX over Win7 or a Ubuntu flavoured Linux, but that's me. First thing i did was co-install Win7 on that machine. I then copied over my favourite tracks from my PC by USB stick using MMs gr...

Re: Backslash in tag folder creation functionality

Thanks for the info. So far I hadn't considered the grouping etc. as they are custom tags iirc, which i'm trying to avoid. Havent had any trouble with backslashes in the album tag in any MP3-player device, so i see no trouble. Cool there's a switch for that! :D

Re: mediamonkey database, using 2 PCs, with last version of MM..

i think the problem was more that Wordpad saves as formatted text while Notepad saves as proper plain text. The ini file of course needs to be plain text, so any plain text capable editor should do. My Wordpad-edited text did not get garbled up like your example, it just didnt function as it was not...

Backslash in tag folder creation functionality

Hey there, I have some audiobook collections and am used to label them "Series Name\02 - Volume Name" in the Album field. This used to result in a Series Name\ 02 - Volume Name\ directory structure when using <Album> auto-organizing. Now however, it results in a single "Series Name-02 - Volume Name"...

Re: Auto-tag from web...: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request [BUG# 5605]

Great. Back to the multi-prog aproach, that's the way... Where's the update?
"Fixed in build 1300. (Bugs in signature creating, Amazon did not detect them before).
Merged in build 1257."
Latest build available for DL is 1256. Just dump 1257 on a server and post a link. Can't be that hard...

Possible to tag multiple files from CUE sheet?

Hello, forgive me if there is info available somewhere, i searched but couldn't find any. So if this thread is in the wrong place, Mods please move or delete it. I have a couple of files whos title tags need filling. I found a cue sheet that has that info. Is there a way to tag multiple files from a...

Re: mediamonkey database, using 2 PCs, with last version of MM..

I have the same problem as the OP, but with the added twist that for me, using 3.0.4.1185, adding DBName=filepath doesnt work when I move the DB file to my external HDD. I always get a virgin monkey at the next restart which creates a new mediamonkey.ini and a new mm.db at the default location. As s...
