So for Video, The solution would be to convert one of the custom fields to "Video Series".
In this case, how can I add a custom field to the collection tree nodes?

There are MTP versions of the the device, but it varies with the region the player is sold.

I assume that somehow there is a way to enter playlists on the Samsung, since it recognizes the playlist files I copy to it, it just doesn't read them properly.

Philips Ariaz SA1ARA08K works fine in MTP mode, as long as the Philips plugin is running on the computer, in the background
