Re: Last.FM Scrobbler

I have found out how to install the scrobbler (Right click on MediaMonkey and open this as an Administrator) and then double click on the downloaded Scrobbler and it installs fine :). The only problem is it does not work :(. Don't really want to, but I will probably go back to using itunes until MM4...

Re: Last.FM Scrobbler

Just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 & I can not get the Scrobbler to work("Product Installation error"); probably because Windows 7 does not give you the option of right clicking and running as Administrator . Anyone using Windows 7 and found a way round this?
Cheers, Dave :)

Re: Can't srcobble Ipod

Hi nohitter151, thanks for the advice, but I perhaps foolishly went ahead and installed the beta version of MM (3.1.0.1216) last night and am now stuck?? I have downloaded the Last.fm plugin (v1.0.2.7), but when I try to install this I just get a pop-up saying 'Product Installation error' and no ma...

Re: Can't srcobble Ipod

Thanks for the quick answer. I am slightly nervous to try a beta version as part of me is saying what I am using now is working fine, so don't mess with it (I might even miss turning down the upgrade, I've got so use to doing it now  ). If I am feeling brave I might try it tomorrow, Cheers, Dave

Re: Can't srcobble Ipod

The last lastpod method works very well (not tried the qtscrob.sourceforge.net method so can't comment on it) and I have exactly the same ipod which you are using. Changing the subject slightly, does anyone know if MM scrobbling still needs you to be using the 'old version' of the Winamp plugin, as ...

Inserting a Music CD Crashes MM

Hi, I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere else already (could not see it in the FAQ section), but I am having problems whenever I try to rip a music CD using MM. Actually, the problem is not so much with the ripping, but rather whenever I add a music CD to my disc drive, it 'crashes' MM...

Recently added Playlist??

Sorry for what is probably either a very simple question, or just an impossible one, but I want to create a playlist so that a list of the recently added albums (say last 14 days) can be seen. I know this is easy to do using the Added & <14 days search criteria, but when synched to my ipod this ...

probly a vista permissions problem.. try running the mmip file as admin (right click run as administrator). Great post, very useful to have the idiot guide to actually doing this rather than just saying, run as administrator. Finally installed fine after doing the right click thing (why the hell di...

Hi, I am getting a bit stuck with how you set-up lastpod so that tracks from my ipod can be scrobbed to last.fm? Below is a list of instructions on the lastpod website for setting up the program:- 1. Download the latest version of LastPod (the link is at the bottom of the page). Fine with this 2. Ex...

currently scrobbling only works when you play on MM itself. I think there is/was some scripts that were attempting to facilitate scrobbling your portable, but I don't know the status or effectiveness of them. Some one else more familiar with them will have to post, I never worry about portable scro...

Hi dinkydave, you're right. Unfortunately it's not possible yet to submit ipod-plays to last.fm with MediaMonkey. But there are third-party tools which are able to do so like: http://www.lastpod.org/ Just submit the ipod-plays before playing new songs in MM! Because if not the ipod-plays won't be s...
