One other thing, checking my notes, I also exited MM prior to the re-install of VLC.
Will test VLC 1.1.1 install shortly on my system. I have several updates stacked up and I tend to do them in a batch (and after my regular backup is complete).

Windows Caller ID, Answering Machine software?
Bah. Both my phone (with caller id) and digital answering machine are acting up. Looking into replacing them with some windows software package. e.g. http://www.voicecallcentral.com/advancedcallcenter.htm which has a try before you buy offer. My internal modem appears to have all the features requir...

Yes... There could be more fun coming your way. http://techcrunch.com/2010/07/20/live-from-googles-image-search-event/ And yeah. I am seeing the invalid pointer errors in "normal" (ie. not known failure cases) use. Just skipping adding album art via BAT for the moment. I have an auto-play...

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
Hmmm. I got curious about the search api for the site.
Noticed that it's "Search Lyrics" menu option appears to be lost in action. ie. You can click it but it's a NOP.
The site appears to be stuck on "What's Hot".

Re: Minilyrics is driving me crazy!
Lyricator did have a problem with duplicating lyrics which took a long time to fix. The cause of the problem was finally identified as using Lyricator via My Computer instead of a Library node. The current version makes no changes at all to tracks selected from My Computer. Lyricator, at least since...

The new PUID service is still off-line. At this time you can only get PUIDs which have been assigned as of a while back (2-4 weeks ago??).
i.e. currently SOL for new releases.

Re: VLC Player plugin (MM2VLC)
Nothing automatic comes to mind. As a general rule, I would keep them in the same folder and make the filename the same for the video and the document file. Also, I think that property edits for video files via MM2VLC are local to the MM database. i.e. the tags don't actually get written to the files.

Re: VLC Player plugin (MM2VLC)
In the case you mentioned I wouldn't bother to make the files MM2VLC compatible. The way I would (and do) handle this situation is to: - Open the PDF in a full window - Play the video in a relatively small VLC window with always on top set. This is very useful when practicing technique as you can us...

Re-tested album comment. Yep. It is ok. I think I was looking at an album that did not have new lines in the comment. Also got a surprise. The test I just did with an Album->Properties->Comment edit was shown almost immediately in the Album Comments tab without an explicit refresh. Who knew. ...

Re: VLC Player plugin (MM2VLC)
PS: You should be able to open the file directly with VLC. Either Windows Explorer->Open/Open With or VLC->File->Open should do the trick. e.g. I can currently watching a movie in a VLC window. I prefer this for general video so that I have full access to the VLC controls. I usually just use the MM2...

Re: VLC Player plugin (MM2VLC)
Hmmm. Ian has not implemented MPG as one of the supported file types. However, try renaming a MPG file to MP4. That might work around the problem.

Re: Monkey Rok 5.3 - Updated 27/06/2010
I see both of the Artist/Album comments without problems (other than formatting). I have however noticed that a property edit is not immediately refreshed in Monkey Rok. Edit: 1)On reflection this is a good thing. The performance hit to automatically keep up with property edits could be nasty. 2)MR ...

Re: VLC Player plugin (MM2VLC)
Yeah. VLC not installed at all would definitely cause this problem.
FYI: I usually get my updates for VLC from Download.com.
