After normal installing latest beta 3018, my context menu still has the old text "Play in MediaMonkey 5", but it does open MM2024 and play it there.
Is that what your concern is, or are you completely lacking any MM context menu items??

Re: Restore Database
Select music node, and "All Tracks" subnode on the left.
Look underneath the main window in the bottom left side, just below the scroll bar if you have one.
In small print it should say total number of files (tracks), number of gigabytes, and total play hours.

Re: Restore Database
The rescan should find all the files that actually exist in your new PC in any of the paths that are shown. Does the number of tracks in the database match the number of music files you have?? Do you have duplicate files, ie more files in the database that on the PC? If so you can check if it is any...

No more betas???
Hello, Mediamonkey We seem to be stuck in a sort of limbo lately... - No more updates for 5.1 beta, where we have several intractable bugs, and no updates to V2024 similarly, we have build 3005 dated March 13th, and I see on the Bugfix database that you are working on Build 3017+ - Really don't want...

Re: Resume Scanning
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but if the reassign drive worked correctly, you should NOT have to rrescan.
Your files should be immediately accessible. Rescanning may give you a duplicate set of files again.

Re: Ratings system
It also helps you when searching for something to play, you sort your search results or all tracks by rating, and then pick from the top rated tracks to play. You can look at an artist, and determine if you like most of their work or only a few of their one hit wonders. You can look through your as ...

Re: Search by artist than by rating
So, while playing tracks, display "All Tracks" in the main window (centre), using List view, or list by album view with artwork if you like. Then sort the entire list on the rating column. If you only want to see songs which appear in current playlist, display that, instead of all tracks. ...

Re: Do Android and Windows store meta data differently?
Also, you need to turn on (check) the option in MMW to update tags when editing (under library, tags and Playlists) If you did not have this on, it is quite possible your information has only been entered into the database, but not embedded in the tags. Thus, it will not be included when you copy th...

Re: Laborious tagging within MM5 (compared to MM4)
I can confirm in List view it does not tab into the rating field in latest beta of 2024.
I do seem to be able to tab to other fields in order of my view, after autocomplete....

Yes, totally agree with you summary and much of your proposed resolution. Background image lookup is one of the ones I would like to be able to turn off, Lowlander said in one recent post this is currently impossible. Also, it makes sense that if I turn on the info panel, it includes some info from ...

Re: [REQ] Option to disable online accesses [#20489]
So, lets say for example I want to enable access to musicbrainz for tagging, but not any other sites for image lookup, related tracks, lyrics, or bios, or anything else I may not have thought of??? I think this is what the above request is all about. Should it not be within the capabilities of Media...

Re: [REQ] Option to disable online accesses [#20489]
This article seems to want to eliminate local network access for file sharing and casting also, while we are are only wanting to Restrict external Internet access
I still like my idea in earlier post above where user can allow or disallow access to each required destination on a site by site basis.
