Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

I sent them a debug log of what it is doing, so hopefully they will figure it out.

Also, this confirms it happens to the dug version as well as the regular version.

Re: Force Playlist to Play Songs in Correct Order

I think, in conclusion, your car plays tracks in displayed order, regardless of any playlists. So, you can place tracks in folders in filename order by whatever method you know how to use. IE rename tracks by adding numbers in front or have MM do that for you which can be complicated, but rewarding ...

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

You are correct, in party mode, double-click in right panel (playing list) for me does nothing. In full screen but not in party mode, and in windowed mode, double-click plays the track. There is an open bug that says it performs the default action, which might in fact be clear list and play selected...

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

OK, so I debug-logged it, and submitted it

Ticket #7120: "High CPU useage on full screen" has been successfully submitted

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

Installed V3020 non-debug normal install this morning. By the way, for several attempts, it failed to copy helper.dll until I restarted the PC, and only then it would install. Also, after the install, it popped up a dialog saying that network access was blocked on private and public networks with on...

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

So did you also try exactly what I described?

Open MM full screen , no auto DJ or anything, observe CPU usage.

Then reduce Mm to windowed, and observe CPU usage again??

Return to full screen, and for me the CPU immediately jumps again.

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

So, is it true that nobody besides myself is experiencing high CPU showing in task manager when open full-screen, which goes away when opened as a window or minimized????

Re: Delete song instead of tag content!

If you click into next field, you must click a second time to enter edit mode. A single click closes the edit on the previous field but does NOT enter edit mode in the next field, So in this mode the delete key offers to delete the track. If you TAB to the next field, you are already in edit mode, s...

Re: Full of bugs

Much better would be to fix the memory useage (leaks) problem.

I think there should never be any need for this program to use that much RAM.

A 64bit version would just postpone the effect, and would run most inefficiently.

Under normal useage, mine uses only about 200-250 mb.

Re: RENAME MULTIPLE ALBUMS

I think your terminology is confusing. Your list shows "FILE" names with "01 - " in front One "file" = one track which could be a "single" or part of an ALBUM, in which case there would be several filenames. What we would call a "folder" name is your...

Re: RENAME MULTIPLE ALBUMS

In order to have Mediamonky remove a certain number of characters from the beginning of the filename, youy can use a mask as follows: .\$mid(<Filename>,4,240) the .\ keeps the same path as you had, ie places the new file back in the same folder. the $mid(<Filename>,4,240) part keeps all characters f...

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

I have tested this several times now, and on my system it always happens. Anytime MM2024 3019 is put into full screen mode, the CPU goes up to about 20% continuously. I have tried this with other web based apps such as Edge browser, Brave Browser, etc and none of them do this. I noticed when viewing...

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

Please re-read my last edited post, and try the maximized state, and watch task manager, see what it does for you. I don't think any debug log is required, as there is no crash.

I have had no further instances of process left in memory after closing.

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

No, in this case I think the PC was put to sleep after Mm was closed. I had another instance just after installing MM2019 where Windows crashed, and needed a hard reset to restart, but so far not reproducible. I will keep eye open for reproducible circumstances - one of which is as follows. Mediamon...

Re: [3018] Runaway CPU

Restarted my laptop after having it sleep for several hours, now it (3019) is running my CPU at 25% even though the app was closed, ie no longer active on the toolbar, before putting it to sleep. My fan was going so I checked my task manager, and there is a MM2024 process running at 20%. I restarted...
