It seems, there is problem in search indexes, MusicBrainz still does not fully support correct update of search indexes (they say it is not "stable" yet), so manual reindexing is needed after such change sometimes (it lasts ~10 hours) :-/

Deadcool: data are fetched from our copy of MusicBrainz DB (we cannot use directly the main server, we need some enhanced requests and the original server also has strict request limits). The problem in your case is caused mainly because requests are cached also locally. You can force cleaning this cache in File - Manage database - check "Clean URL cache". Then all MusicBrainz requests will be fetched from our server, and should include your recent entries. Our server is synchronized with the original one circa once per hour, so your entries won't be there immediately.
Data from Wiki is mostly read from Wiki links contained in MusicBrainz DB too.

I decreased expire timeout of our local cache to 1 hour, so manual cleaning should not be needed in upcoming versions, after 1-2 hours new data should be fetched automatically.

This makes some sense, however there are instances where the Artist info has an entry (but once selected no info is shown), and there is no entry for it at all in Wikipedia.

So where does the entry beside Artist come from?

No, it shows alternatives from our copy of MusicBrainz DB.

Good catch Lowlander, glad we sorted this out, really confusing at a point. Now MM can be better. Another solution would be to add that Artist on Wiki Also

Hi,
I recreated Album and track names today.

Then Used Auto-Tag to get Album art and it found it. So I guess they updated it

I added the artist. It didn't exist in Musicbrainz before. I also added both of the releases listed there.

What did you edit? I don't see much about the Artist in MusicBrainz: https://musicbrainz.org/artist/2c452ec6 ... ab271caebc

Any help here? The edits are closed in MB. It's still not an option to select in MM5.

I'm not seeing anything in Musicbrianz indicating it's waiting to be moderated, but I'm pretty new to the site so I may be missing something...

We're receiving updates from MB.org every minute, but updating once in a hour. So if you can write out what artist you've updated i can check why it's not actually found in our MB.

Could you tell us which Artist you edited and if the edit is Live on the MusicBrainz.org website? It may be stuck in moderation by MusicBrainz.
