The GPM sync timing issue is fixed.
I retested GPM downloads, and I noticed a few issues.
I requested downloaded of 10+ albums. It started OK. While it was running I opened the node that shows the download queue. Soon after it opened there started to be problems ... maybe opening that was a coincidence ... I don't know for sure.
The batch included download of
a couple of albums by John Lewis. I had accidentally queued download of these two albums, which are essentially the same thing.
One download OK, and the second (the one of the right) gave
this strange error. ... It mentions android for some reason ... I am downloading using MM5, running under Windows.
A few more things happened, which I will describe below. ... But after all that, I closed MM5, and powered down the PC. PC power down was interrupted by a Windows message mention MM and a memory access error.
When i restarted the PC, I tried to download that same right side album. I got the same error message about Android ... so maybe you can replicate by adding those two albums to your GPM library, and trying to download both in the same batch?
When this issue 1st happened it seemed to kill off some your your 4 concurrent download threads, and download proceeded more slowly.. .... And I started getting messages
like this ... when I look at what was downloaded I see
situations like this .... some tracks created, but got no content ... then retried, it got downloaded, but you did not populate the tags .... it then tried a third time, and this time it was all OK.
I don't think that this is new issue with version 2232 ... ie. I have reported downloads like this before, where there were multiple attempts to download, some left in a partial state .... I think that it happens when some of your tasks get killed or suspended during a download batch
I manually tided up the multiple versions using Windows Explorer ... the multiple version didn't seem to be in the db ... MM5 was running when I did the tidy up, and it crashed multiple times with
