OK, I see. When I opened in Excel, it showed just the track name and the other columns labeled but empty.

When I pull it through Notepad, I see this:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:288,John Lennon - #9 Dream (2010 - Remaster)
..\Music\John Lennon\Power To The People_ The Hits\08 #9 Dream (2010 - Remaster).mp3

I'm assuming its the fault of the syncing program not picking up these attributes.

Thanks for your help.

Then you should see something like this when you open the Playlist in a text editor:

Code: Select all

#EXTM3U
#EXTENC: UTF-8
#PLAYLIST: - flac
#EXTINF:203,Alan Doyle - Anywhere You Wanna Go
\\lowlander03\Multimedia\Music\A\Alan Doyle\[2020] Rough Side Out\04. Alan Doyle - Anywhere You Wanna Go.FLAC
It contains Artist and Title.

Exporting M3U playlists only shows track name - help...

by jbogema » Thu Apr 04, 2024 5:16 pm

Quick question. When I select Export all Playlists, I get an M3U file that only shows the track name, but doesn't show album, artist, etc. I am trying to import my Media Monkey playlists into Amazon Music. It works through an app called Tune my Music LTD. However, without the additional info, I get all sorts of different versions of some of the songs in Amazon when importing.

Can anyone help me with what I am doing wrong?
