So if you remove the files from the library and re-add them the artwork/covers should be already all right, isn't it?
Also based on https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=12245 when there are two artworks detected as "Cover (front)" then the artwork with better resolution has higher priority...

Thanks!
Nope, precisely on 3003 and 3005 is where I'm having this issue with artwork. Scanning the files on both versions brings the mess.
Maybe because I was content with the ones on 5.0.4, since they are quite more pleasing to see.

Hi,
in the previous build there was a bug that artworks that should be "Not specified" were detected as "Cover (front)",
this was fixed as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view ... 686#c74495 in build 3003, but you need to re-scan the directories.

In case you still see an issue feel free to share sample files/folder with us via eSupport ticket ( https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/ ), zip the files/folder and upload it to a free file hosting service (DropBox, RapidShare, FileDropper, MediaFire, ...) and share just the link to the file.

Thanks!

Yeah, the directory is ๐ŸŽงMusic>๐Ÿ“Location>[Disk]>[Music Folder]
On each album the correct artwork should be like this:
https://imgur.com/kv0OJLD (compare with last post).
I got those from reverting to 5.0.4 and scanning again. Then, going back to 3005 still shows them like this. As you know, they are showing the first image from the first track artwork metadata (as a personal opinion, I prefer them more like that).
Compare with my last post. That was the result from scanning on 3005.

No, I think it didn't work on 3003, nor 3005. It takes whatever file has "Front" on the name, so some are correct, some others not.

I'm afraid the problem is not fully fixed on ver. 2024.0.0.3005.
Some folders show whatever has the word "Front" in there, first thing that comes:

So, yeah, sorry if this is recurrent and I'm being nitpicky, but having this way to organize my collection is the main reason I chose MM over any other player in the entire world.

Yeah, that worked! Dragging the album artwork stored in tag to the first spot, over the overall cover did the trick.
Even so, I hope you consider implement that "dynamic artwork" on future releases for MM5.

Thank you for your time.

Select just the single disc and edit Artwork.

How can I do it? Even if I weren't able to use it, it would be a nice thing to know.
As you can see, it was possible before on MM5, even if it was unintended.

I don't know if this would be like a feature request, but I think what I'm asking would imply the use of two artworks: One for the folder, and another for the individual track metadata, and this one is the one to be shown on that column. I say this because I pretty much like this feature on Poweramp, for example.

Automatically is not possible, Artwork is considered Album level (although manually you can do this).

Indeed! Just like I've shown in that image.

Yes, the issue of getting the right priority and cover type when scanning is fixed in 3003,
can you test if you still see the issue when you re-scan the files?

I'm now on 3003, and this issue is solved, since it always takes folder.jpg as artwork for folders, if one album is contained within. That is quite satisfactory.
But I'd like to ask you if, in case I have various covers on metadata for multiple tracks in the same folder (for example, box sets), is possible for them to be shown on the artwork column for individual tracks depending on the disc, something like this:
https://imgur.com/qI3oxRQ
(Please fix this link so you can see what I mean, thanks)

The issue in this topic that is fixed is getting the right image on first place on scanning when multiple Artwork files are found. The fix would only apply to files newly scanned into MediaMonkey after updating MediaMonkey.

it doesn't sound like you have the same issue.
