Where can I take action to make sure that all the installation settings are cleared before repeating the installation?
Works fine for me, are you still facing this?

I have just tested the addon and it works fine for me...

Addon version 1.1.2, MediaMonkey version 5.1.0.2832

How exactly you tested?

Maybe the Addon's author is better suited to answer that.

Did you select files to do this operation on, and set the correct field to do this for?

It simply doesn’t change the character I want to change. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but, like the instance I posted before, if I want to replace in some tags the character “:” with “;”, when I click ok, the Find And Replace windows get closed but nothing happen and characters “:” remain unchanged.

I already tried to use the Replace String add-on but, it seems not works anymore since I have installee the MediaMonkey version 5.1.0.2827. I know this is not a stabel version but it's works with iOs 17.

Yes this is possible within MMW5 using the Replace String add-on:

https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... -string-3/

But, it works for Title / Artist / Album and Album Artist.

For more advanced Find and Replace in fields, you would need to use MMW4 and RegExp:

https://zvezdan-d.github.io/RegExpReplaceNew.html

Or another Tag editor.

!!! Don;t forget that some edits are in the library UNTIL YOU SYNC back to the files using Ctrl+S!!!

Many thanks for the replay, but what I mean is a different feature: I would like for instance to find and replace in the field “Title” all the “:” with “;”.
Is it possible?

You can edit Properties on multiple files and all changes you make will be saved to all selected files.

Hi, is there a possibility to find and massively replace some tag fields, such as artist, title, album, etc.?
Thank you very much

find and replace all fields

Hi,
I installed some time ago "Replace String 1.1.2" and it seemed to work fine.
Recently, however, the addon no longer works. It no longer replaces any string.
I tried to install it again but it doesn't work.
I use MediaMonkey 5.1.0.2821
Thank you

Dowloadlink: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... -string-3/

Installation - open MM5 - Menu: TOOLS ... Addons ... Add... locate and select the download file.
Everything else is automatic.

Programm call: Select one or more songs - Context menu button ... Edit Tags ... Replace String
