Do you mean the saving of tags to the files? Or is Properties slow to open/change file?

I was tidy up my large DB (almost 1TB) by inserting supplementary details (Author, Genre etc). After a certain time the updating process gets really slow. When I quit MM5 and restart MM5 the updating process starts fast and then gets very slow again (for example one minute to update a single track).
MM5 version 5.0.2.2510
