wenn du (per Auto-Playlisten bspw) Tracks nicht (mehr) synronisierst, die vorher synronisiert werden sollten, werden diese (auf dem Zielgerät, um bei Erwins Notation zu bleiben) gelöscht.

Beispiel: Du syncst "Artist von A bis Z" auf dein Handy, stellst das nach dem ersten Sync um auf "Artist von A bis M", dann werden die dann "überflüssigen" Tracks auf dem Handy beim nächsten Sync-Lauf gelöscht.

Files deleted from a device are never deleted from MediaMonkey on your PC. The risk of unintentional data loss is high if this was possible. Sync can only delete files from the device on Sync.

Als "Gerät" wird IMMER das Zielgerät (Handy oder Tablett) gesehen.
Jetzt stell dir die Situation vor: lösche alles auf dem PC, was auf dem "Gerät" NICHT vorhanden ist - Katastrophe.
Egal, ob in MM4 oder MM5

I bet I've read somewhere this is by intention. At least it's an option which must be explicitly activated. Device profile in MMW, maybe?

I have only now seen the selection menu when deleting on the tablet, but the track is still not deleted on the PC when "Delete from the device" is selected.

The synchronization between Tablet and PC actually works well. Star ratings and move to a playlist are adopted.
But if I delete a song on the Tablet and synchronize it with the PC, it is not deleted on the PC. Only when I delete a song on the PC will it also be deleted on the Tablet.
Did I miss a setting?
Everything else works.
