New laptops for home use are mostly sold with Windows 10 or 11 in S mode meaning that only Microsoft Store apps are allowed. I also see that MS says you can reverse this setting via Settings. Then there are warnings on the web that lower specification machines may have performance issues running Win 11. I want to run MM5 and lots of other open score programs and am wary about this.
Has anyone reversed this S setting and what has your experience been?
