This is not typical for MediaMonkey 5, which version of Windows are you using? Could you please try the latest beta and see if this improves it: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86639

If not, please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens in your setup.

I have installed MM 5 (Version 5.0.1.2433) on my computer, installation run without any failure message. when trying to start MM5 the first time, it took more than 10 minutes to start the programm, but then it weas possible to run. But now, only the Icon pops uop, but no further progress, even the computer slows down completely, the MM program does not sart. I have already deleted the program completely, run a registry clean and re-installed again with different languages (English and German), no progress. I oly cn abort the program by using the Windows hotkey STRG+ALt*Del. MM4 is still running on the computer in good performance. Under this condition MM5 is useless. Please advise how to proceed.
