It doesn't matter if MM5 is minimized to the taskbar or just open in the background.
Every time the next song starts my game window is minimized to the taskbar and MM5 is pulled to the fore.

BTW: Are you saying that this happens also if you disabled the checkbox [x] Pop-up file info: 4 seconds
in Options > Player > Pop-up display

If you see popup you can disable it in Tools -> Options -> Player.

During gaming MM5 minimizes the game window and pulls MM5 to the front each time when going to the next song.

Current MM5 version 2433 on Windows 10

The option to Pop-up file info needs to be disabled for the popup not show.

Where? All I see are 10 check boxes. Which one is about the thing that pops up bottom right when I'm tabbed out?

Anytime I'm playing Dota 2 with media monkey in the background, whenever a song is over and the next one plays, I am automatically tabbed out of my dota 2 client for 3 seconds to view the media monkey graphic that appears in the bottom right of the screen when a new song starts playing. How do I turn off this function?
