I had to replace the drive that my music library was sitting on. I upgraded to a new SSD, set the letter and label to be the same as the old HDD, and transferred the music folders back on to the new drive.
I assumed that this would be enough for MM to happily find my music using the same old paths, but tracks were just greyed out and skipped over when played.
So I cleaned up the media library in MM by removing the 'old' entries pertaining to the old drive and rescanning the music folder on the NEW drive from file monitor.
This of course picked up everything, which took a while because I also had to analyze levels on track again. Fine, but now, none of my STATIC playlists work. They show as blank, even the playlists that are in the "imported" folder (automatically imported when album folders are scanned and a playlist file is found inside) show blank.
How can I fix these playlists? I thought playlist files only used file paths. I expected them to work since my new drive has the same letter as the old one, and the music folder hierarchy hasn't changed.
What's more confusing is that the fresh new scan I performed also returned unusable playlists.
