Can you try to run MM5 2402 with these params

--enable-logging=stderr --v=1

so

MediaMonkey.exe --enable-logging=stderr --v=1
and send me what it shows in console window ?

I'm also having a problem with 2401/2. It installs ok but only the MM logo splash screen opens. The MM app won't open.

By any chance, were you backing up your installation directory with OneDrive or Insync? I suddenly and inexplicably found a file named ".~6bead2f7b752f3a1-6BEAD2F7B752F3A1!655106-439c64.insyncdl", which has very similar messages:

Same here. I know it is stupid, but may I suggest to check your HDD for errors?

Installed 2401 four times - normal / portable, standard / debug - in separate folders on same rather old computer.

Worked well on ALL four installs.

Have you tried it a second time? I believe I also experienced a different error the first time I installed it, but I clicked Abort and re-ran the installer, and it worked.
Also, were you installing a portable or non-portable version?
