Capturing a debug log is actually really easy, even though it looks daunting.
1) Download and run DebugView: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... s/bb896647
2) Download, install on top and run the debug version of MediaMonkey:https://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/MediaMon ... _Debug.exe
3) Reproduce what causes the problem or wait till the problem happens
4) Once the problem has occurred, save the log in DebugView and attach the log file to a Support Ticket

It is really quite easy to try.

Using windows file explorer, navigate to the mediamonkey folder in programfiles(x86), find the file called MediaMonkey_NoGPU.bat, and DoubleClick it to start mediamonkey

In file explorer you might need to turn on the option to show hidden files and folders

For some people who have problems such as this, it can be made to work by running with the following command, found in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey 5" folder: "MediaMonkey_NoGPU.bat" to start the program

he music stops and MM5 screen goes white...this has happened at least 10 times in the last week!!!

How exactly are things not working? When you update an existing Gold install you don't need to enter your License again. Help > About will show if you're using the Gold License already.

To add to lowlander's comment for anyone else coming across this thread:
If you have a Gold lifetime license already, you can just download MMW5 and use your existing license. Download is at:

If you have a Gold 4.x license, then you're eligible for a discounted purchase to MMW5 if you purchased it prior to 2020, and a free upgrade if you purchased it in 2020/21. Details at:

There is no notice for Lifetime License holders as their License as provided is already valid for MediaMonkey 5. You can keep using the same Lifetime License.
