That's what I assume. Good that it works that way.

Wow that worked. You just have to do it in separate steps. Thank you very much.

Once you've don this try to convert the copied file, instead of the file on the iPad.

Problem converting from ipad to mp3 w/ Gold

I have the Gold version of MM, just downloaded today and I am trying to get non-purchased songs off of my iPad to mp3 files on PC.
I have my iPad connected to my computer and can see songs in MM I previously uploaded in /iTunes_Control/Music/XXXX.m4a or m4p
Songs I bought thru iTunes are in /Purchases/-123456789.m4a
On a non-purchased song, I select a song > Send To > Folder (Convert)
Everything on the next screen looks correct as it looks like it will rename my XXXX.m4a file to Artist - Title.mp3
I hit ok and get an error "MediaMonkey is unable to decode this format".
I tried with a purchased song and got the same message but I assume that is expected.

I am able to select a song > Send To > Folder (Copy) and get the m4a file on my computer.

What am I missing or what can I try?
