Check that Bookmarking is enabled for Podcast Types under Tools > Options > Playback Rules and that the files are set to Type = to one of the Podcast Types (you can see this in Properties).

Version 4.1.31.1919. Doesn't remember position when playing podcasts. When resuming, starts over. The previous version started from a stopping point.
