I have an update. I recently purchased a Bluetooth speaker for my laptop, and MediaMonkey works even when Windows 10 is locked. I think the problem for me is that MMW locks when audio devices change, rather than the status of Windows 10 being locked. I have several audio devices. Laptop, Bluetooth headset, Bluetooth speaker, external monitor via HDMI. If I keep the audio to the Bluetooth speaker it keeps going on forever.

It is very bad news for all the devs that lost time building UWP apps. Thus Win 10 desktop apps slowly move to UWP architecture in each Win update it will change again and apps will need to be rewritten/repurposed.

Example Windows 10 20H2 removed custom color to Tiles (and I just started to like that). Example 2, Native Control panel options are more and more replaced with simplified UWP counter parts and UI or berried deeper into system, which makes freedom of windows system administration harder.

Well, about the server, turned out I'm already running it but there is no difference. The pause happens once the screen is off, even without locking the system. Maybe in the next version (or in 5), you can check how different kinds of services work? Something like antiviruses or things like that might solve the issue? I really love MMW and it is has super performance comparing WMP12 (and I use WMP since it was first created) and this is the only complaint so far, maybe a far second is the auto-tag form web feature.

[/quote]Completely different program structure and architecture, it needs to be rewritten completely and is very very limiting :( There was MediaMonkey for windows RT (Shortly known MM8) But it as constantly crippled and needs constants rewrites, so it needed to be abandoned :(

There is no re installation, just go to tools -> Options -> Library -> Media Sharing and you will have option to install as service.

Note that: PC can't go to sleep as it will stop all services. If tracks are publicly available it should work when PC locks and screen gets off.

There is no way to fix that as Low power playback is reserved only for Microsoft certified UWP (Universal Windows Platform) apps. MediaMonkey is regular desktop application and not being able to do that.

Only possible way to do that is to install MM as Service, but then files you play must be in non protected folders (that Everyone can access then) in order to work. Thus even then Win 10 changed things often there so it is not straight forward usage.

NOTE: Any help in feedback what works and what do not could help us improve MM service behavior in future versions is most welcome.

Hello! I have MMW 4.1.30.1914 Gold on Windows 10. When Windows locks or device changes (from Bluetooth headphones (Jabra Elite 75t) to an external monitor (Samsung via HDMI), MMW pauses and I have to stop, choose the track, and click play to resume. How can I fix this? At least for the lock screen?
